I. O. BURRELL
I. O. Burrell, 88, died July 9, 2025, in Hemphill, Texas.  Interment was in County Line Cemetery, San Augustine.  He was born November 12, 1936 in San Augustine to Mollie Berry Burrell and Eugene Burrell.  Survivors include, Wife, Mary Cotton Burrell of San Augustine; Son, Gerald Burrell of San Augustine; Daughter, Sharron Harris of Missouri City, Texas; Brothers, Albert Burrell of San Augustine, Leo Burrell of San Augustine.
Services are under the direction of Sid Roberts Funeral Home, Nacogdoches, Texas.

 

CHARLES THOMAS “BUTCH” BROWN
Charles Thomas “Butch” Brown, 63, died July 16, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.  Interment was in Jackson Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on August 13, 1961, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Hugh and Sue (Jackson) Brown. He attended Joaquin High School.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Daughter, Patricia “Nikki” Diaz; Brothers, Morris Wayne Brown, Ricky Brown.  Survivors include, Wife, Mary Brown; Son, J. R. Brown and wife Katie; Daughter, April Childress and husband Brandon; Sisters, Deb Gamble and husband Herman, Beth Lee; Special Sister-in-law, Sally Brown.

CHARLES WILLIE O’NEAL
Charles Willie O'Neal, 84, died July 9, 2025. Interment was in Westview Cemetery, Center.  He was born December 11, 1940 to Douglas O'Neal and Ira Mae Waterhouse, growing up in Center, Texas.  He was preceded in death by, Sons, Eefrim and Ricky; Parents; Six siblings.  Later in life, he met and married Ms. Avalon McClelland, he gained a son: Ricky, and to this union five children were born: Eefrim, Darren, Tracee (Yvette), Dennis and Tammie.  Survivors include, Four children; Three step-children; A special love in his life for over 20 years, Ms. Melba J. Patton.

Services are entrusted to Community Funeral Home, Center, Texas.

TAMI JEAN SPELLS
Tami Jean Spells, 64, of Center, died July 17, 2025, in Nacogdoches.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born October 17, 1960, in Stamford, Connecticut, to Patrick Palmer and Joan Palmer.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Carol Palmer DeLuca; Brother, Gerald Palmer.  Survivors include, Husband, Michael R. Spells of Center; Sisters, Trica Palmer of Stamford, Connecticut, Christa Lockwood of Stamford, Connecticut, Allison Palmer of Stamford, Connecticut, Jami Palmer of Stamford, Connecticut; Brother, Robert Palmer.

ROBERT C. GREGG
Robert C. Gregg, 74, of Center, died July 21, 2025, in Center.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  He was born July 22, 1950, in Conroe, to  Charles Morgan Gregg and Alma Zoletta “Peggy” McDonald Gregg. He served in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Iris Gregg; Parents; Brother, Wesley Gregg.  Survivors include, Children, Tina and husband, Wade Jones of Center, Martha and husband, Keith Rose of Hamburg, Arkansas, Marty Gregg and wife, Jackie of Center.

KEITHA FRANKS JACKSON
Keitha Franks Jackson, 84, of Azle, Texas, died July 21, 2025, at her home in Azle.  Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas.  She was born on June 19, 1941, to Harold G. & Oline Franks in Center, Texas.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Earnest Ray Jackson, Jr.; Parents; Brother Kyle Franks.  Survivors include, Daughters, Diane and son-in-law, Paul Twomey, Lori and son-in-law, Timothy Ehmke; Brother, Kerry Franks and wife, Pat.
