JEREMY BENJAMIN WHITTON
Jeremy Benjamin Whitton, 51, of Joaquin, Texas, died June 5, 2026, at his residence.  He was born April 24, 1975, in Center, Texas, to Edith Geraldine (Henry) and John Thomas Whitton.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Tammy A. Bennefield of Joaquin; Sister, Tammy Worsham Hill; Children, Edith Whitton, John Whitton.

ALVIN “AL” HOWARD
Alvin “Al” Howard, 88, of Tenaha, died June 13, 2026, in Center.   His wishes were to be cremated.  He was born May 23, 1938, to George Henry Howard and Maysie Von Parrott Howard. He served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959. He was preceded in death by, Son, Eugene Howard; Parents; Brother, Steve Howard.  Survivors include, Wife, Claudine Howard of Tenaha; Children, Kathy Howard Reid of Lubbock, Deanne Lynn Howard of Lubbock, Henry Paul Howard and wife Evelyn of Harker Heights, Michael Wilson and wife Peggy of Tenaha, Glenda Wilson Johnson and husband Larry of Hobbs, New Mexico, Lea Wilson Cassell and husband Mike of Center;  Sister, Joann Condit of Arizona; Sisters-in-Law, Chonita Howard of California, Maxine and Raimon Collins of Logansport, Louisiana, Marie Rascoe of Colorado.

RODNEY EARL RAMSEY
Rodney Earl Ramsey, 71, of Joaquin, Texas, died June 11, 2026.  He was born in Jacinto City, Texas, on November 22, 1954, to Billy Gene Ramsey and Mildred Bonner Ramsey.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Billy Paul Ramsey.  Survivors include, Wife, Regina Ramsey; Sons, Kolton Ramsey. Dustin Ramsey and wife Ashley; Sister, Alma Gene Ramsey Sheffield
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Joy Nichols Bradshaw, 79, of Nacogdoches, formerly of Center, died June 10, 2026, in Cushing.  Interment was in East Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born February 14, 1947, in Center, to Alton Nichols and Westerfield Wright Nichols. She was preceded in death by, Son, Kenneth Lauried Baty; Parents; Brothers, “Bubbie” Nichols, J.C. Nichols, Robert “Bob” Nichols, W.A. Nichols.  Survivors include, Daughters, Alice Eddins, Laurie Southerland, Lavina Kay Whiteside, Patsy Vaughn; Sister, Josephine Nichols.

PAULINE PITTS HEWITT
Pauline Pitts Hewitt, 68, of Shelbyville, died June 11, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Interment was in Lane Town Cemetery, Sabine County.  She was born November 4, 1957, in Center, to Jack Sparks and Lillie Mae Mitchell Sparks.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Nine siblings.  Survivors include, Husband, Billy Hewitt, Sr. of Shelbyville; Children, Christopher Sparks and wife Angelica of Tenaha, Shona Hewitt and fiancé, Ronald Brown of Shelbyville, Billy Hewitt, Jr. and fiancé Denecia of Center; Siblings, Mickey Sparks of Houston, Merlene Carter and husband Jamie of Monroe, Louisiana, Bobby Sparks and wife Adrenne of Center, Arthur Barnett and wife Celine of Houston, Arthur Barnbett and wife Celine of Houston, Rasheed El Amin and wife Nawal of Houston, Linda Alford of Portland, Oregon, Lizzie Faye Payne Allen and husband Kenneth of Center; Father-in-law, Jimmy Hewitt of Shelbyville; Brothers-in-law, James Earl Hewitt and wife Gloria of Shelbyville, Charles Hewitt and wife Sherinaka of Shelbyville; Special son-in-law, Kelvin Jones of Center.

HOWARD RAY GARRETT
Howard Ray Garrett, 79, died June 11, 2026.  He was born December 17, 1946 to  Minnion (L.D.) and Dortha Thompson Garrett in Shelby County, Texas.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Minnion Garrett Jr.; Sisters, Dorothy Jean Garrett, Clementine Garrett Lathan, Linda Garrett McCoy; Sons-in-law, Gustarvus Netherly, Rev Barry Miller.  Survivors include, Wife, Mary Lee Garrett; Bonus Daughters, Sheretta Netherly of Center, Sherry Garrett-Miller of Richmond, TX; Sister, Wonda Faye Miller of Lakeland, TN; Adopted Sister, Mary Katherine Thompson of Houston.

MARY KATHERINE RAFTER FAUSETT
Mary Katherine Rafter Fausett, 87, of Center, died June 18, 2026. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born November 15, 1938, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Case Broderick Rafter and Katherine Freeman Rafter. Survivors include, Children, James Fausett and wife ChingYi, Richard Fausett and Suzan Sanford; Daughter-in-law, Jamie Fausett ; Sister, Helena Carney of Roy, Utah.

Jaydon Lee Tyre, 20, of Timpson, Texas, died June 11, 2026.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center, Texas. He was born July 6, 2005, in Center, Texas. He was preceded in death by, Grandparents, Ginger White, James and Linda Tyre, Jerrel Goings, Emma Jaramillo and Howell and Johnnie Kay Cassell; Brother, Mac Tyre; Aunts, April Miller and Penny Hughes; Uncles, Maurey Miller, James Darren Tyre, Sr. and Flint Goings.  Survivors include, Mother, Autumn Tyre; Father, Jack Tyre Jr.; Siblings, Riley Renee Tyre, Jarred Tyre; Grandparents, Lee Caryl, Jack Tyre, Sr., Shirl Burdick, Judy Goings.

MARICELA MARTINEZ De SIERRA
Maricela Martinez de Sierra, 39, of Center, Texas, died June 11, 2026, in Center, Texas.  Interment was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center.  She was born on September 10, 1986, in Comonfort, Guanajuato Mexico, to Francisco Martinez Mexicano and Maria Luisa Ramirez Landin.  She was preceded in death by her mother.  Survivors include,  Children, Kevin Sierra, Shyla Sierra; Father, Francisco Martinez Mexicano; Brother, Francisco Jose Martinez; Sisters, Cecilia Oliva Martinez Ramirez, Maira Elena Martinez Ramirez, Adriana Martinez Ramirez.
