    Nettieoma Adams, 91, of Center, died February 24, 2009 in Center. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Center. She was born August 27, 1917 to George James and Anna Laura Briggs Jenkins. BERNICE BOYETT
    Bernice Boyett, 75, of Joaquin, died February 22, 2009 in Center. Burial was in Brookland Cemetery, Joaquin. She was born May 3, 1933 in San Augustine County to Ben and Alice Richardson Evans. JESSE ELLIOTT POLK
    Jesse Elliott Polk, 72, of Timpson, died February 22, 2009 at his home in Timpson. His body has been donated to medical science at LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport, LA. as he requested. Mr. Polk was born May 4, 1936 in South Carolina. Jesse Polk retired from the U.S. Navy. Survivors include, Wife, Glenda Lobaugh Polk; Stepsons, Robert Marshall of Timpson, James Curtin of Wardorf, MD. Harry Curtin of Wardorf, MD.; Stepdaughters, Sue Wolfe of Wardorf, MD., Vi-Ellen Curtin of Mechanicville, MD.
JOHN WAYNE SCHULZ
    John Wayne Schulz, age 63, of Timpson, died February 20, 2009 at his home in the Silas Community. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shelby County. Born October 30, 1945, in New Braunfels, Texas, John was the son Raymond Henry and Ester Seekatz Schulz. Preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Raymond Schulz. Survivors include, Wife, Sue Schulz of Timpson; Son, Travis Schulz of Center, Texas; Daughters, Terri Alford of Timpson, Janice Hughes of Carthage, Rebecca Oliver Justin of Timpson; Sister, Diana Davenport of Greenville, NC.

ROY LEE HALL, SR.
    Roy Lee Hall, Sr., 77, of Gary, died February 17, 2009 in Gary. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born September 24, 1931, in Oswego, Kansas, to J.B. Estler and Myrtle White Estler Blane. He entered the U.S. Army in 1949 and retired after twenty years of service.
