Am looking for any descendants of three Napier brothers from Dale and Houston Co., AL, who were in Shelby Co., TX, in the early 1900s.  Thanks to the 1920 and 1930 census and the cemetery/mortuary information online at the Shelby County, TX, Website, I can confirm that Charles Jackson Napier (1863-1944); Eli C. Napier (1872-1949); and Alexander "Alex" Napier (1861-1947) who are all buried in Fairview Cemetery, Center, Shelby Co., TX, were the sons of John G. and Nancy Jane Mason Napier who left Wilkinson Co., GA, between 1850 and 1860 and moved to Dale Co., AL.   They are buried in Columbia Cemetery, Columbia, AL.  The parents of John G. Napier were Drury and Rosa Spears Napper/Napier who also migrated with their son John to Dale Co., AL.  Some of the family of Drury Napper went by "Napper;" but the family of John G. used "Napier" on his tombstone.   Melanie Atkins. Am researching my deceased husband's history and particularily interested in Regulator Moderator War. My husband was born in Center and his family - generations of "Moorman's" were from Joaquin, Logansport and Shelby County. Trying to find how directly related he was to the infamous (good or bad - ha!)"Charles Moorman".
Any help would be appreciated - there is no one left alive in family to help! We will be traveling to area soon to collect data! Thanks!  Pam Moorman pam@mealsonwheels.org 2
