    I was born in Shelby County and am looking for some one who may remember Mamie Lou Woods & her mother Mrs Woods. She was a great painter. RUTH EARLENE "PATTY" JERNIGAN
     Ruth Earlene "Patty" Jernigan, 76, of Center, died January 6, 2007 in Nacogdoches.   Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Born September 26, 1930,in Houston, she was the daughter of E. B. and Minnie Inez Taylor Samford. Ms. Jernigan was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her Husband, Joe Neal Jernigan of Center; daughters, Zandra Akridge of Nacogdoches, Debbi Gragg of Center; sons, Jody Jernigan  and John Jernigan, both of Huxley and James Jernigan of Shelbyville; brother, Elvin Samford of California and sisters, Dolly Brewer and Faye Bryce, both of Houston.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ETHEL C. OWENS
     Ethel C. Owens, 84, of Center died January 6, 2007 in Center.  Burial was in Tennessee Cemetery.  Born March 18, 1922, in Garrison, she was the daughter of J. G. Clifton and Ira Hayes Clifton.  Mrs. Owens was a Homemaker.  She is preceded in death by husband, Thomas Owens, Daughter, Sarah May King; sisters, Essie McBride and Betty Louise Ferguson and brothers Glen Clifton and J. E. Clifton.  Survivors include sons, Barney Thomas King of Corsicana and James Edward King of Waco.  Mangum Funeral Home.
MILDRED BONNER RAMSEY
    Mildred Bonner Ramsey, 79, of Joaquin died January 6, 2007 at her residence.  Burial was in Lone Cedar Cemetery.  Born March 6, 1927, in Joaquin, she was the daughter of Rufus and Alma Cox Bonner Ramsey.  Mrs. Ramsey was a Homemaker.  She is preceded in death by parent; husband Billy Gene Ramsey; sisters, Gertrude Adams and Rose Gray.  Survivors include, children, Almagene Sheffield of Porter, Tcxas, Rodney Ramsey of Old River and Billy  Paul Ramsey of Alvin, Texas; brother, James F. Bonner of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister Mertie Mae Westerfield of Joaquin.  Mangum Funeral Home.
SHIRLEY BROWN
    Shirley Brown, 72, of Center died January 4, 2007 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born February 15, 1934, in Aiken Community, Shelby County, she was the daughter of Alva and Beulah Dean Head.  She is preceded in death by  her Parents; brothers, Lloyd Head and Rex Earl Head; sister, Lorean Kendrick.  Survivors include husband Charles D. Brown of Center; daughter, Dr. Debrah Worsham of Joaquin; son, Randy Brown of Tyler, Keith Brown of Center, Bradley Brown of Katy; brother, Billy Head of Port Neches.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
PATSY TREANOR
     Patsy Treanor, 73, of Joaquin died January 7, 2007 at her residence.   Burial was in Canton, Texas.  Born January 23, 1933, she was the daughter of Harry and Bernice Hughes Mosley.  Ms. Treanor was a Breeder of Exotic Birds.  Survivors include daughter, Rhond Moore of Joaquin; son, Lawrence Bass of Gloster, Louisiana; sister, Judy Koch of Burnet, Texas and Genger Sellers of Missouri City, Texas.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ANGELO MULLA
     Angelo Mulla, 80, of Shelbyville, died January 9, 2007 in Center.  Burial was in Mulla Cemetery, Joaquin.   Born July 18, 1926 in Houston, he was the son of Joseph Mulla and Katherine Lima Mulla.  Mr. Mulla was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the US Navy.  He was preceded in death by his Parents, first wife Margie Walker Mulla.  Survivors include Janie Bittick Mulla of Shelbyville; sons, David Mulla of Vancouver, Washington and Raymond Mulla of Houston; daughters, Margaret Bowden of Joaquin, Terri Gray of Joaquin; Stepdaughters, Maria Ogden of Center and Elizabeth Kilpatrick of Spring; Stepsons, Quintin Smith of Michigan, Shaun Smith of Kansas and Jason Smith of Austin; sisters, Joanna Smith of Lake Jackson, Saveria Partin of Houston, Patricia Stegent Theresa Semilion Rosemary Sydlick and Ellizabeth Mulla, all of Houston; brothers, Vincent Mulla of Houston and Joseph Mulla of Gary.  Watson and Sons Funeral Home.
NANCY JANE MANCIL BAILEY
    Nancy Jane Mancil "Flup" Bailey, 71, of Center died January 8, 2007 in Longview, Texas.  Burial was in Neuville Cemetery.  Born September 28, 1936, she was the daughter of Josie Renfro and Noel Mancil.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Mancil, Rod Mancil and Johnny James Mancil.  Survivors include husband Hughy Gene Bailey of Center; son, Jimmy Dale Bailey of Nacogdoches; sisters, Earline Mancil of Bronson, Merline Byley of Breakridge. HUGH O. GAMBLE
    Hugh O. Gamble, 73, of Center died January 10, 2007.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born January 29, 1933, in San Augustine, he was the son of Sam Houston Gamble and Jackie Estes Gamble.  Mr. Gamble was a veteran of US Army.  Survivors include wife, Louise Gamble of Center; son, Stephen Gamble of Shelbyville; Sisters, Verline Stewart of San Augustine and Merline Boozer of Orange.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home
