HELEN GRISBY
   Helen Grisby, 73, of Center died January 3, 2005.  Burial was in St. John Cemetery.  Born July 1, 1932, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Annie Lee Pitts.  Mrs. Grisby was employed with Pilgrim Pride.  She was preceded in death by her son Wayne Grisby.  Survivors include son, Travis Grisby of Longview; sister, Olivia Gillend, Joyce Ann Cartwright, Esterlene Byndom and Teresa Goodwin.  Hicks Mortuary.
CHARLIE SAMUELS, III
   Charlie Samuels, III, 65, died December 29, 2004, at his residence.  Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Tenaha.  Born May 25, 1939, in Tenaha, he was the son of Lois Lee and Charlie Thomas Samuels, Jr.  Mr. Samuels was preceded in death by his parents Lois Lee and Charlie Thomas Samuels, Jr.; sister, Georgia Houston; brother, Walter Samuels.  Survivors include wife, Gladies Samuels; daughters, Sonia Watts and Commetrice Samuels, both of Tenaha; son, Kelvin Samuels of Fort Worth; sisters, Barbara A. Samuels, Margaret F. Adams, Doristine Samuels, Mavel E. Samuels and Ethel Samuels, all of Houston; brother, Richard A. Samuels of Grandview, Missouri. Hicks Funeral Home.
PRISCILLA MICHELLE TAYLOR
   Priscilla Michelle Taylor, 28, died December 25, 2004.  Burial was in Westview Cemetery.  Born April 16, 1976, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Fred and Hattie Taylor. Survivors include parents, Hattie Taylor and Fred Taylor; sisters, Jacquelyn Roberts of Cuney, Stacey Garrett of San Augustine and Karla Sparks of Lufkin; brothers, Frederick Dewayne Bennett of Riverside California and Adrienne DeAundre Taylor of Center.  Hicks Mortuary.
DOROTHY REED THOMAS
   Dorothy Reed Thomas, 67, died December 23, 2004 in Houston.  Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Tenaha.  Born October 29, 1937, in Tenaha, she was the daughter of L.C. and Louise Reed.  Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents L.C. Reed and Louise Reed; son, Willie Charles Thomas, Baby Thomas; sister, Ressie Mae Parker; and husband George Thomas, Jr.  Survivors include sons, George Thomas, III of Houston, Davis Thomas of Tenaha, Donald Thomas of Houston, Johnny Thomas and Jerry Thomas, both of Houston.  Community Funeral Home.
ONIE MAE DILLON SPARKS
   Onie Mae Dillon Sparks, 82, of Timpson died January 7, 2005 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in County Line Cemetery, Rusk County.  born May 8, 1922, in Blair Community, she was the daughter of Robert and Carmen Thornton Dillon.  Mrs. Sparks was a Homemaker.  Survivors include husband, Lloyd E. Sparks of Timpson; son, Lloyd Thomas Parks of Trinity; brother, Joe Dillon of Timpson; sisters, Louise Lease, Vivian Crawford, both of Dallas, Hazel Davis of Hideaway Lake and Betty Rhodes of Dallas.  Taylor Funeral Home.
MILDRED JACOBS WILLIAMS
   Mildred Jacobs Williams, 91, of Center died January 9, 2005, in Center.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born January 1, 1914, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Coleman and Alice Eddins Jacobs.  Mrs. Williams was a Teacher with Center Schools.  she was married to Edgar Lee Williams, and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include sisters, Bobbie Covington of Kemah, Edna Tingle of Columbia, Louisiana and Jackie Bryant of Los Angeles, California.  Mangum Funeral Home.
DOLORUS MARIE BEDDOE
   Dorlorus Marie Beddoe, 61, of Hearne died January 9, 2005, in Hearne.  Burial was in Jackson Cemetery, Joaquin.  Born December 21, 1943, she was the daughter of Marion Everett and Gaye Neel.  Mrs. Beddoe was a Elementary Teacher.  Survivors include husband Robert J. Beddoe of Hearne; son, Robert Joseph Beddoe of Austin; mother, Gaye Neel; brothers, Marrion Neel of College Station and William Neel of Acworth, Georgia.  Mangum Funeral Home.
JAMES EDWARD TYRE, JR.
   James Edward Tyre, Jr., 69, of Center died January 9, 2005, in Center.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born June 24, 1935, in Dallas County, he was the son of James E. Tyre, Sr. and Bessie Tribble Johnston Tyre.  Mr. Tyre was a veteran of the Korean War.  Survivors include wife, Linda Tyre of Center; daughter Kathy Miller of Center; sons, Jack Tyre Sr. of Center and James D. Tyre, Sr. of Carthage; sisters, Peggy Choate and Linda Stroope, both of Shelbyville; brother Charles Tyre of Huxley.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
RAY HENRY
   Ray Henry, 75, of Center died January 9, 2005, in Center. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.  Born June 30, 1929, in DeSoto Parish Louisiana, he was the son of Robert Henry and Ada Batts Henry.  Mr. Henry was a Veteran, having served from 1947 to 1950.  Survivors include wife, Barbara Henry of Center; daughter, Barbara Ceal of Center; step-son, David Whitton of Center; son, Eugene Henry of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters, Mildred Watts of Chandler and Hazel Stephens of Logansport, Louisiana.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home
AUBREY LEDREW GRAVES
   Aubrey Ledrew Graves, 66, of Center died January 10, 2005, in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born September 1, 1938, in Collins, Mississippi, he was the son of Robert Wesley and Rosa Lee Graves.  Mr. Graves was a Air Force Veteran.  Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Smith Graves of Center; daughters, Beverly Strebeck of Collins, Mississippi, Sheila Chandler of Center, Karen Halstead of Shelbyville and Janet Ritter of Paxton; sons, Joel Graves and Kenneth Graves, both of Shelbyville and Neal Graves of Center; sisters, Robbie Jean McRanney of Jackson, Missippi and Jane King of Gloster, Mississippi; brother, Lennis Graves of Gloster, Mississippi.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
A. A. "LEX" NELSON
   A. A. Nelson, 93, of Nacogdoches, died January 12, 2005, in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born September 5, 1911, in Shreveport, Louisiana, he was the son of Minnie Mae Finley and Lannie Martin Nelson.  Mr. Nelson was a retired purchaser.  Survivors include son, Van A. O. M. WILLE
   O. M. Wille, 74, of Joaquin died January 12, 2005, at his residence.  Cremation was requested.  Born January 22, 1930, in Farmington, New York, he was the son of Edward and Erma Pratt Wille.  Mr. Wille was retired from the railroad.  He was married to Eunice Wille, and she preceded him in death.  Survivors include sons, Art Wille and Ray Wille, both of Shelby County; sister, Louise Ryder of Conesus, New York.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
JOY KNIGHT MCGUFFIN
   Joy Knight McGuffin, 80, of Center died January 12, 2005, in Center.  Burial was in Woods Cemetery, Panola County.  Born November 27, 1924, in Tenaha, she was the daughter of Jack and Rosie Gunter Knight.  Mrs. McGuffin was a Homemaker.  Survivors include husband, Don McGuffin of Center; sons, Don McGuffin of Carthage.
