HOWELL CASSELL
   Howell Cassell, 82, of Huxley died January 18, 2003 at his residence.   Cremation was requested.   Born November 29, 1920, in Shelby County, he was the son of Eli and Azelee Furlow Cassell.  Mr. Cassell is survived by his wife, Johnnie Kay Cassell of Huxley; son, Bobby Howell Cassell of Huxley; daughters, Johnnie Cook of Shelbyville, Judy Goings of Huxley; Glenis Carroll of Carthage, Joy Lynn Redmon of Center; sister, Rena Duncan of Bridgeport.  Mangum Funeral Homes.
CORA CLEO CONKEN
   Cora Cleo Conken, 88, of Mt. Vernon died January 18, 2003 in Mt. Vernon.   Burial was in Corinth Cemetery.   Born July 29, 1914 in New Tazewell, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Jacob and Dorsie Lee Carr Cupp.  Ms. Conken was preceded in death by her husband Wheeler L. Conken. Survivors include son, George Conken of Gary; daughters, Billie Hand of Lakewood, Colorado, and Inez Darnell of Tallahassee, Florida.  Taylor Funeral Home.
FAYE CLINGMAN
   Faye Clingman, 90, of Timpson died January 21, 2003, in Carthage.   Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.   Born September 13, 1912, in Timpson, she was the daughter of Thomas Adkin and Elizabeth Bussey Smith.  She was married to E.B. Clingman, and he preceded her in death.  She is survived by nieces and nephews.  Taylor Funeral Home.
CHESTER JOHN HRIBAL
   Chester John Hribal, 87, of Center died January 21, 2003, in his residence.   Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery.   Born April 9, 1915, he was the son of John Carl and Mary Pitlik Hribal.   Survivors include his wife, Joy McSwain Hribal of Center; sons, Jamey Dean Hribal of Tyler and Chet Hribal, Jr. of Center; daughter, Kay Wilkinson of Dallas; sister, Helen Camp of Oveda, Florida.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ANNA RUTH HUGHES
   Anna Ruth Hughes, 75, of Port Arthur died January 14, 2003 in her residence. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Mrs. Hughes was born in Perdido, Alabama.  She is survived by sons, Jimmy Hughes of Plano and Waylon Hughes, Jr. of Port Arthur; brother, Herman Eugene Meyers of Phoenix, Arizona.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ELOISE BIGGAR EATON
   Eloise Biggar Eaton, 76, of Pecatonica, Illinois died January 15, 2003.   Burial was in Pecatonica, Illinois.  Born June 5, 1926 in Freeport she was the daughter of Hilliard Morgan and Mary Kennedy Biggar.  Mrs. Eaton was preceded in death by her husband, John and son, John Benedict Eaton.  She is survived by son, Owen Eaton of Pecatonica; sister Mary Evelyn Biggar of Center.   Countryman Funeral Home, Illinois
JULIAN R. STRICKLAND
   Julian R. Strickland, 84, of Center died January 23, 2003 in Holiday Nursing Home. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Born February 20, 1918, in Rusk County, he was the son of C.E. and Mabell Wilson Strickland.  He was married to Bernice Strickland and she preceded him in death.   Mr. Strickland is survived by brothers, William E. Strickland and Arney Strickland, both of Beaumont and Lloyd Strickland of Sherman; sisters, Rebecca Bush of Roganville and Frances Hutto of Grapevine.  Mangum Funeral Home.
