I am trying to locate the parents of Margaret C FRAZIER TAYLOR..  She was born in Navarro Co. Texas 13 March 1852.  She Married John Moses TAYLOR  10 Oct. 1871.  They lived in Shelby Co. She died 13 Dec. 1925 and is buried in Jackson Cemetery.  I cannot find her in the 1860 census.  Any help would be appreciated. Frances YATES King at   frances@uci.net  2

 gif_newblue.gif (2555 bytes)Am trying to get info on my grgrparents Rev James Sodine & Mary Jane McCary Murphy Sr. They lived in the Arcadia/Center area from 1870ish til his death in 1902. Would like to have his date of death if there are newspaper, mortuary records, census info etc. that I might get access to. We are placing a cemetery marker on his grave this year, 100 years after his death, and would like to have the info for that purpose.   If there is any other info available on him or my  grgrgparents, William Littlepage & Mary Worsham McCary   I would love to have that also.   Any cousins interested in the marker installation  service email me and I will keep you posted as to when

MARY IRENE WINDHAM---Funeral for Mary Irene Windham, 75, of Center was held February 5, 2002.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.  Mrs. Windham died February 3, 2002.  She was born June 3, 2002.  Survivors include her husband, Roy Windham of Center; sister, Pauline Livingston of Center.  Mangum Funeral Home.
AUDREY MAE ALLEN---Funeral for Audrey Mae Allen, 81, of Nacogdoches were held February 5, 2002.  Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County.  Mrs. Allen died February 2, 2002.  Born October 4, 1920, in San Augustine County, she was the daughter of Malcom and Leta Eta Sellers Fountain.  She was preceded in death by her first husband William Calvin King and her brother Alton Fountain.  Survivors include son Norman Calvin King of Nacogdoches; Daughters, Verda Hasley of Nacogdoches, Sylvia Rouse of San Antonio and LaDonna Slay of Longview; sisters, Merle Youngblood of Kingwood, Loyce Watson of Center. 
MATTIE ESTELL STEPHENS---Funeral for Mattie Estell Stephens, 76, of Conroe was held February 6, 2002. burial was in McClelland Cemetery, Shelby County.  Mrs. Stephens died February 3, 2002 in Houston.  Born December 12, 1925 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Milland Ginsel and Mattie Bryson.  She was married to Tommy Stephens and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include daughters, Shirley Hubaek of Hutchins, Judy Burns of Chireno, Brenda Nicols of Center and Benita Buzek of Conroe; sons, Tommy Stephens of San Augustine and Larry Stephens of Conroe; brother, Donald Ginsel of Carthage.  Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
EARL S. BIGGERS---Funeral service for Earl S. Biggers, 88, of Nacogdoches was held February 6, 2002.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.   Mr. Biggers died February 4, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Born August 17, 1913 in the Brady Community, Shelby County, he was the son of Benjamin and Leo Covington Biggers.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, LaVerne Lee Biggers in 1978.  Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Grimes Wallace Biggers; son, Kenneth Earl Biggers of Center; daughter, Mickey Biggers Wulf of Center; stepson, Stephen Wallace of Nacogdoches; stepdaughters, Susan Lawrence of Nacogdoches and Sharon Touchette of Nacogdoches
JOHNNY O. GRIFFIN--Johnny O. Griffin, 41, died February 4, 2002.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County.  Mr. Griffin was born in Shelby County to George W. and Eloise Campbell Griffin.  He was employed with Bronco Boring.  Survivors include his wife Linda Griffin of Center; son, Jamie Joe Griffin of Center; daughters, Malinda Scott and Shasta Wiley, both of Center;  Stepson, Stacy Valentino of Mayport, Florida.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
LAQUIDA BECK----LaQuida Beck, 77, died February 5, 2002 in The Woodlands.  Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.  Ms. Beck was born October 7, 1924 in Center.  Survivors include sisters, Marjorie Dewit Moran, Mildred Beck and Sadie Leach, all of Conroe.  Cashner Funeral Home, Conroe.
MAGGIE HOLLIS PORTER---Maggie Hollis Porter, 96, of Timpson died February 2, 2002. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.   Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her parents, Riley Nichols and Mandeville Risinger Nichols; and sons Roy Hollis and Oscar Porter.  She is survived by daughter, Billie Hollis Jones of Houston.
LUTHER "JERRELL" WALKER---Luther "Jerrell" Walker, 58, of Joaquin died February 6, 2002 in Mansfield, Louisiana.   Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born December 22, 1943, in Joaquin, he was the son of Wayne and Lottie Mae Wilson Walker.  Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Susie Walker of Logansport, Louisiana; son, David Walker of Joaquin; daughter, Kem Womack of Longstreet, Louisiana; sisters, Lillian Whitesel and Mary Anderson, both of Center;  brother, Paul Walker of Stanley, Louisisna.  Mangum Funeral Home. 
L.J. "BUBBA" JOHNSON---L.J. "Bubba" Johnson, 58, died January 28, 2002.  Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Shelby County.  Mr. Johnson was born March 16, 1943, in Shelby County, to Lullen and Luvicy Johnson.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Viney L. Johnson; and brother Leon Johnson.   Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughters, Shawntalla Johnson of Dallas and LaTala Johnson of Center.  Hicks Mortuary.
VERA LOVELL WALKER---Vera Lovell Walker,   89, of Center. died February 6, 2002. Burial was in Joaquin Cemetery, Shelby County.  Mrs. Walker was born November 30, 1912 in Shelby County to Joseph Warren and Ida Johnson Lovell.   She is preceded in death by her husband Robin Lee Walker; and grandson Johnny Broyles.  Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter, Melba Coleman of Center and Clara Broyles of Katy.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
GARY ELLISON---Gary Ellison, 52, of Odessa died February 5, 2002 in Odessa.  Burial was in Powdrill Cemetery, Shelby County.  Mr. Ellison was born November 18, 1949, to Grady and Pauline Livingston Ellison.   He was preceded in death by his father Grady Ellison and brother Jerry Lynn Ellison.  Mr. Ellison is survived by his wife, Vicky Ellison of Houston; daughters, Jan Holguin of Odessa Jennifer Scott of Levelland, Jeri Blake of Houston; sons, Charles Ellison of Andrews and Arthur Ellison; mother and stepfather Pauline and J. I. Brittain of Center; brothers, Grady Ellison of Center and Danny Ellison of New Mexico; sisters, Carolyn Stewart of Durango, Colorado and Marilyn Taylor of Andrews/
