OBITUARIES
BETTY LOU BRIDGES HUGHES
    Betty Lou Bridges Hughes, 76, of Nederland died February 8, 2008 at her residence.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Shelby County.  Born January 3, 1932, in Campti, she ws the daughter of Elza and Jimmie Potts Bridges.  Ms. Hughes was preceded in death by husband, Marvin Alton Hughes; Son, Marvin Scott Hughes; Daughter, Rebecca Lou Hughes; Mother, Father and three brothers.  Survivors include Michael Alton Hughes of Plano, David Lee Hughes, Mark Stephen Hughes, Christopher Alan Hughes all of Nederland. 
HOYT PATTERSON
    Hoyt Patterson, 80, of Center died February 9, 2008 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Powdrill Cemetery.  Born October 24, 1918, in the Arcadia Community, he was the son of Floyd and Venia Haliburton Patterson.  Mr. Patterson was a US Veteran of WWII and was a member of Shelby County Sheriff's Posse.  He was preceded in death by Parents Floyd and Venie Patterson and Sister, Eleanor Rogers.  Survivors include Wife, Elaine Patterson of Center; Daughter, Florine Rudd of Jackson, Tennessee and Deborah Beckers of Port Neches; Son, Ronald Hoyt Patterson of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
NEIL EDGE
    Neil Edge, 85, of Old Center Community, died February 8, 2008 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial was in Old Center Cemetery, Panola County.  Born June 15, 1922 in Old Center Community, she was the daughter of Elzie Graves and Ruby McCullough Graves.  Ms. Edge was a nurse and retired from Panola General Hospital.  She was preceded in death by Husband, Jesse Edge.  Survivors include Daughters, Donna Taylor of Old Center, Betty Edge of Dallas, Ginger Glass of Old Center and Debbie Jo Sheffield of Old Center; Son, Terry Sam Edge of Old Center and Keely Ritter of Carthage.
MICHAEL REEVES
    Michael Reeves, 37, of Gloster, Louisiana, died February 7, 2008 at his residence.  Burial was in East Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born January 8, 1971, he was the son of Fred and Judy Guyver.  Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by Mother, Judy Guyver.Survivors include Wife, Shana Reeves of Gloster, Louuisiana; Sons, Kody, Lucas, Dylan and Shayne; Father, Fred Guyver of Shreveport, Louisiana;  Brothers, Mark Reeves of Houston, Robert Guyver of Shreveport, Louisiana, Thomas Guyver and Steven O'Brien both of Shreveport.
RAY A. DICKERSON, JR.
    Ray A. Dickerson, Jr., of Fellowship Community, died February 14, 2008 at his residence.  Burial was in Johnson-Fellowship Cemetery.  Born December 24, 1937, in Shelby County, he was the son of Ray Dickerson, Sr. and Era Dell Glaze Dickerson.  Mr. Dickerson was a Veteran of US Army.  He was preceded in death by Parents; Sister, Mary Katherine Dickerson and Brother, Jacky Dickerson.  Survivors include Wife Rita Dickerson, of Fellowship Community; Sons Richard Dickerson of Garland and Randy Dickerson, of Shelby County; Brothers, James Dickerson of Joaquin, Ronald Eugene Dickerson of Joaquin, Kenneth Dickerson of Joaquin and Mike Dickerson of Joaquin; Sisters, Virginia Biehie of Lexington, Carolyn Ewing of Joaquin Nelwyn Owens of Dallas and Kay Brewton of Joaquin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
