She was born January 21, 1920, in Timpson, to Lloyd Benjamin and Susie Childs Goolsby. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, John Mathis; Twin sister, Selma Cowan. Survivors include, Son, Steve Mathis & wife, Judy of Clayton, Texas; Daughter, Martha Holt & husband, Roger of Nacogdoches; Brothers, Ben Goolsby & wife, Claudia of Timpson, J. B. Goolsby & wife, Dixie of Bryan, Texas; Sister, Nora Goolsby Rice of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Robert Ray Hughes, 73, of Mt. Enterprise, Texas, died February 18, 2012 in Mt. Enterprise. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born January 6, 1939, in Shelby County, to Robert Cleave and Gertie Dee Renfro Hughes. Survivors include, Wife, Ellen Hughes of Mt. She was born October 25, 1924, to Ivey Elizabeth Cox and Amzy Darby Hunt in Joaquin, Texas. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Henry Lamar Lawrence; Daughter, Sandra Joyce Lawrence. EDMOND “Snoox” McNAIR
Edmond “Snoox” McNair, 92, of Shelbyville, died February 18, 2012 in Center. Interment was in Caledonia Cemetery, Rusk County. He was born April 29, 1919 in Arlam, Texas to A. E. and Dola Brown McNair. He served his county in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Zorah McNair; Sister, Marguerite Wagers; Brother, Asa McNair. Survivors include, Nephews & Niece, Stanton “JR” Wagers of Belleville, Harold Dean Wagers, DVM of Crosby, Allen Wagers of Pasadena, Mark McNair of Dallas, Karen McNair of Dayton, Craig McNair of Dayton.
