   Vera Basham, 71, of Joaquin died February 23, 2003. Burial was in Ramah Cemetery.   Ms Basham is survived by sons, Jessie Basham and Robert Basham, both of Joaquin and Marvin Jenkins of Rockport; daughters, Judy Lovejoy of Center and Penny Basham of Dayton; brother, Mitchell Gibson of Hot Springs, Arkansas.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
IVA MAHAN CROSS
   Iva Cross, 96, of Marshall, originally Tenaha, died February 23, 2003 in Marshall. Burial was in Ramah Cemetery.   Born April 27, 1908, she was the daughter of James Alexander and Ella Rose Carroll Gray.  Ms. Cross was preceded in death by her husband James Graydon Cross; four brothers and five sisters; She is survived by son Jimmy Gray Cross of Houston; Daughters, Blanche Whitten of Bossier City, Louisiana, Betty Ann Boren of Marshall and Shirley Beth Bullard of Horseshoe Bay.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ASHANTE DAMYIA MCCOLLISTER
   Ashante McCollister, 1 month,  died February 11, 2003.  Burial was in Westview Cemetery.  Born January 9,   2003 she was the daughter of Dedrick McCollister and Angelea Nobles.  She is survived by her parents; brother, DeOdrick McCollister.  Hicks Mortuary.
VIDA MAE BRYCE CHANEY
   Vida Mae Chaney, 82, of Nacogdoches died February 25, 2003, at her residence.   Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Born September 20, 1920, in Shelby County she was the daughter of James Amos and Winnie Johnson Bryce.  She was married to Ralph D. Chaney and he preceded her in death.  Ms. Chaney is survived by brothers, James Bryce of Houston and Jeral Bryce of Henderson.  Mangum Funeral Home.
MYRTLE JACKSON YATES
   Myrtle Jackson Yates, 82, of Center died February 26, 2003 at her residence.   Burial was in Shelbyville Cemetery.   Born August 8, 1920, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Jeff and Adeline Walker Jackson.    Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by parents, John Jeff and Adeline Walker Jackson; husband, Myrl Yates; brothers, Dr. Raleigh Jackson and Hunter Glendon Jackson.   Survivors include son, Jackie Glynn Yates and wife Becky of Center, Blanch Moody of Center and Mary Beth Diamond of Carthage. Mangum Funeral Home.
