G.T. KIMBRO---G.T. Kimbro, 93, died March 1, 2002 in Center.  Burial was in Spann's Chapel Cemetery.  Born June 23, 1908, in Shelby County, he was the son of Hezzie and Emma Adams Kimbro.  He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Eaves Kimbro.   Survivors include son, Tom Kimbro of Center; daughter, Gay Nell Fausett of New Boston; brother, H.B. Kimbro of Austin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
VERNA MAE COOPER---Verna Mae Cooper, 71, of Center, died February 28, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.   born January 12, 1931 in Center, she was the daughter of Velma Lee Fowler Davis and James Homer Davis.  Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents James Homer and Velma Davis; son Michael Lee Cooper.  She is survived by her husband Vernon Cooper of Center; sons, Larry Cooper of Center, and Robert Cooper of Bridge City; daughter, Pat McMahon of Center; sisters, Dorothy Goodwin of Farmington and Cassie Balch of Livingston.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
JIMMIE BELL FLYNN---Jimmie Belle Flynn, 92, of Center died March 4, 2002.  Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Born April 1, 1909, in Center, she was the daughter of Bo and Bell Neal.  She married Jesse Flynn, and he preceded her in death.  Survivors are many nieces and nephews.  Mangum Funeral Home.
CHESTER MCLEROY---Chester McLeroy, 86, of Center died March 5, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born April 18, 1915, in Timpson he was the son of Edward J. and Grace Merritt McLeroy.   Survivors include his wife Velma McLeroy of Center; son,s John McLeroy of Lufkin and Dan McLeroy of Plano; daughter, Janet Townsend of Bowling Green, Kentucky; sister Edit Cook of Marshall; brother Dr. Robert L. McLeroy of Gainsville.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
LOIS BUSSEY---Lois Bussey, 91, of Shelby County died March 4, 2002 in Shreveport.  Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.  She was born June 17, 1910 in Timpson.  She was preceded in death by her parents Ulvia and Annie Sapp; husband, Pat Bussey, Sr. and son Pat Bussey, Jr.  Mrs. Bussey is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bussey Bartle of Shreveport.  Mangum Funeral Home
THOMAS ELLIS LAMAN---Thomas Ellis Laman, 70, of Pearland died March 6, 2002 in Webster.  Burial was in Restland Cemetery, Tenaha.   He was born May 4, 1931 in Mobeetie, Texas to Thomas Ellis Laman, Sr. and Hattie Bowers Laman.  H is survived by his wife Frances Wall of Pearland; sisters, Clevel Sleuder of Corpus Christi and Maritta Stribling of Mobeetie.  Mangum Funeral Home.
WAYBURN STANLEY---Wayburn Stanley, 74, of Joaquin, died March 3, 2002 in Center.  Burial was Jackson Cemetery.  He was born November 5, 1927 in Shelby County.  Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, and two brothers.   He is survived by his son Johnny Stanley of Center; sisters, Eva Taylor of Joaquin, Mable Dawson of Center, Myrtle Windham of Joaquin and Louise Lahamn of Lufkin; brothers, Murry Stanley of Minden and Roy Stanley of Palestine. 
HUBERT ALTON BAKER---Hubert Alton Baker, 61, of Houston died March 6, 2002 at his residence. Burial was in Strong Cemetery.  Born November 6, 1940 in Shelby County, he was the son of Albert Thomas and Edith Delaney Baker.  He is survived by his brother, Lonnie Baker and Ken Baker, both of Houston; sister Angie Carlson of Houston.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ALDRED WHITE---Aldred White, 74, died March 7, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Willow Grove Cemetery.  born February 12, 1926 in Joaquin, he was the son of Bertha Madden and Cooper White.  Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Hazel Lerline White and daughter Hazel Annette White.  Survivors include sons, Douglas White of Nacogdoches, David White of Carthage, James White, Kenneth White, Dennis White and Jerry White all of Nacogdoches.   Daughters, Brenda Williams and Barbara Gilmore,  both of Nacogdoches, brothers Carroll White of Marshall and Wesley White of Jacksonville; sisters, Viola McCoy and Yvonne Crawford both of Nacogdoches.
