JIM PERRY
Jim Perry, 71, of Center, died March 1, 2023, in Nacogdoches.  Interment was in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on July 27, 1951 to C.R. Perry and Mildred Harsley Perry.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brothers, Rusty Perry,  Bill Perry.  Survivors include, Wife, Nancy Daw Perry; Children, Eric Perry & wife Mandy, Vicky Sneed, Jamie Perry, Yvette & husband Jeffery Sims, Tommy Victory & wife Wendy.

RONALD EUGENE DICKERSON
Ronald Eugene Dickerson, 82, of Joaquin, died March 1, 2023, in Center.  Interment was in Johnson Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on the family farm in Fellowship Community on April 20, 1940 to Ray Sr. & Era Dell Dickerson. He graduated from Joaquin High School.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Catherine Byrd Dickerson; Daughters, Belinda Sue (infant), Mary Elizabeth Patterson; Parents; Brothers, Ray Jr. Dickerson & wife Rita, Jacky Dickerson, James Dickerson; Sisters, Virginia & husband Raymond Biehle, Nelwyn Owens; Brother-in-law, Pat Ewing.  Survivors include, Married-in children, Donna Woodard & husband Stanley Orbik, Cindy & husband David Hughes, John David & wife Gina Woodard; Brothers, Kenneth Dickerson & wife Loyce, Mike Dickerson & wife Barbara; Sisters, Kay & husband Lonnie Glaze, Carolyn Ewing; Brother-in-law, Sam Owens; Sisters-in-law, Joan Dickerson,

James Allen Cartwright, 90, of Shelbyville, died February 13, 2023. Interment was in Britain Creek Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born April 12, 1932, in Shelbyville, Texas.  He was preceded in death by, Parents, William and Mabelle Moore; 1st wife, Ozella Maria; Sister, Elouise (Doll); Brothers, Lemes (Lem), Thomas Wayne (TW).  Survivors include, Wife, Elisabeth Cartwright; Siblings, Janie Ruth, Thomas Earl, Esther Lee, Myrtle Lee, William Cartwright, Jr.; Children, Patricia (m. Charles), Janice, Jennifer (m. Larry), Bill (m. Sheri), Evelyn (m. Steve), Velma (Veejay), Brenda, Octavia; Stepchildren, Kizziey and Machona Mkandawire.

SHANE HOOKER
Shane Hooker, 56, of Shelbyville, Texas, died March 1, 2023, in Shelbyville, Texas. Interment was in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on June 18, 1966, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Son Hooker and Vikki (Chambers) Hooker Fisher.  He was preceded in death by, Father, Son Hooker; Aunt (best friend), Jana Fulgham; Grandmothers, Nell Hooker Buchanan, Adelle Lout Chambers; Great-grandparents, Julius and Vercie Lout; Step-grandparents, Donald and Patricia Fisher.  Survivors include, Mother and stepfather, Vikki & David Fisher of Shelbyville, Texas; Brother, Jonathan Fisher of Nashville, Tennessee.

JOE R. DILLON
Joe R. Dillon, 98, of Timpson, died February 28, 2023. Interment was in Blair Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born in Timpson, Texas on June 10, 1924, to Robert Dillon and Carmen Thornton Dillon.  Joe spent three years in service in the United States Army. He fought in World War II in Germany and Belgium and was present at the Battle of the Bulge. He was blessed to see the end of the war. He was a member of the 740th Tank Battalion, also known as the “Daredevil Tankers.”  He was preceded in death by, Parents, Robert and Carmen Dillon, as well as, his nine siblings.  Survivors include, Wife, Hazel Hudson Dillon; Daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Dillon, currently of Timpson; Son & wife, Larry & Debbie Dillon of Fort Worth.

Sadie Adams Jacobs, 67, of Sour Lake, Texas, died February 24, 2023, in Sour Lake, Texas.  Interment was in West Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on October 25, 1955, in East Lynn, West Virginia, to Auda Adams and Louisa dams.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Troy Jacobs; Parents; Brothers, Jack Adams, Norman Adams, Virgil Adams, Robert Adams, Boyd Adams, John Adams, Lucian Adams, Audie Adams Jr., Sammy Adams, Sampie Adams; Sisters, Della Isaacs, Erie Frazier,  Ines Adkins.  Survivors include, Sons, Delano Dale Nelson, Jeremy Wayne Nelson & wife Cara Loftin; Brothers, Orville Adams & wife Shirley, Omer Adams & wife Connie; Sisters, Minnie Cochran & husband George, Rhoda Morton & husband Edward, Teresa Clay & husband Robert; Sister-in-law, Doris Adams.

Rodney L. Bo Posey, 67, of Joaquin, died March 8, 2023 at his residence in Joaquin.  Interment was in Truitt Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on December 26, 1955 in Center to Nathan Franklin Posey, Sr. and Betty Delores Ross Posey.   He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Frank Posey; Sister, Debra Reeves.  Survivors include, Wife, Sheila Posey; Sister, Betty Ann Posey; Children adopted by the heart, Joey Burns, Cathy Myers.

JOHNNY BYRON YARBOROUGH
Johnny Byron Yarborough, 82, died February 21, 2023 in Austin, Texas.  A private memorial gathering will be held in the future.  He was born on September 26, 1940 in Timpson, Texas to Johnny Claborn Yarborough and Suzie Mae Grant Yarborough. He was preceded in death by, Son, Byron Yarborough of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Brothers, Kenneth Yarborough, Jimmy Yarborough; Sister, Myra Jean Suttle.  Survivors include, Wife, Judith Yarborough; Daughter, Melissa McCauley of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Yarborough of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Brother, Freddy Yarborough of Center, Texas; Sister-in-law, Wanda Yarborough of Center, Texas.
