Thanks to all that responded to the location of Cooper School.  As originally thought it was in the Arcadia Area of Shelby County and was created by act of County Board on August 12, 1916.  It was originally located on what is now CR 1510 and 138. The end came for the Arcadia School on June 16, 1924 when a petition to consolidate Arcadia and Cooper to form the Cooper Consolidated Common School District No. 24.  The school was closed and merged into the Timpson School in 1951.
