The annual Vaught Family Reunion will be held April 12, 2003 at Frazier Hall at the Stockman Community Church at Stockman. JAMES WARREN SMITH
   James Warren "Jake" Smith, 71, of Tenaha died March 15, 2003 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.  born January 16, 1932, in Grigsby Community, he was the son of Joe Ingram and Della Parrish Smith.  Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Marilyn Smith of Tenaha; son Gary Smith of Houston; daughter, Sue Smith of Tenaha; sisters, Minnie Luman and Geraldine Smith of Tenaha; brother Carl Smith of Nacogdoches.  Mangum Funeral Home.
HOY BENJAMIN JOHNSON
   Hoy Benjamin Johnson, 84, of Center, died March 15, 2003 in Center.  Burial was in McClelland Cemetery.  Born May 9, 1918, Choice Texas, he was the son of Eber and Oma Victoria Satterwhite Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Annie Ray Johnson.
H.F. "PAPA" MORRIS, JR.
   H.F. Morris, Jr., 69, of Shelbyville, died March 15, 2003 in Shelby County.   Cremation was requested.  Born December 11, 1933, in Columbia, Louisiana, he was the son of Fred Morris, Sr. and Elba Cole Morris.  Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Betty Morris, of Shelbyville; daughters, Rita Snowden of Gilmer and Robin Key of Memphis, Tennessee; sons, Ronnie Morris and Ricky Morris, both of Shelbyville; brother, James Morris of Shreveport, Louisiana.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ELZIE E. LOCK
   Elzie E. Lock, 78, of Center died March 17, 2003 in Center.  Burial was in North Jericho Cemetery.  Born April 5, 1924, in North Jericho Community, he was the son of Jeff and Donie May Lock.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Donie Lock; wife, Willie B. Lock; brother, Guy Stacy and sisters, Rosa Lee Campbell and Velma Owens Bailey.    Mr. Lock is survived by daughters, Jeanette Lock Watkins and Kathy Lock Robertson, both of Center, Lynn Anderson of Corsicana; son, Kenneth Lock of Center.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home
ADA OCTAVIA McSWAIN
   Ada Octavia McSwain, 84, of Sabetha, Kansas, died March 18, 2003.   Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born October 22, 1918, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of S.B. McSwain, Sr. and Stella Holt McSwain.  She was preceded in death by parents, S.B. and Stell McSwain; brothers, Eugene McSwain, Jesse McSwain and S. B. McSwain, Jr. and sisters, Lera Bittner, Lynne Warr and Lorena Lafitte.  Ms. McSwain is survived by numerous sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
JOHN L. McCLENDON
   John L. McClendon, 90. of Nacogdoches died March 15, 2003, in his residence.   Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.  Born October 30, 1914, in Timpson, he was the son of Thomas and Bertha Mae Williams McClendon.   Mr. McClendon is survived by his wife, Pauline McClendon of Nacogdoches; daughters, Johnnie Baker of Frankston, Allene Powers, Linda Jackson and Janice Jackson, all of Nacogdoches, and Hattie Spencer of Lufkin; sons, Clarence McClendon and Thomas McClendon, both of Nacogdoches, Dave McClendon of Logansport, Louisiana, Andrew McClendon of Timpson and Larry McClendon of Henderson; brother, Titus McClendon of Timspon; sisters, Inez Yarbrough of Tyler and Beatrice Collins of Corsicana.  Sadler Funeral Home.
KATHRYN MURRAY FLEMING
   Kathryn Fleming, 54, of Tyler died March 17, 2003, in Angelina County.   Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born June 16, 1948, in Nacogdoches County, she was the daughter of  James Otis and Gwendolyn Porter Murray.  She was married to Dan Fleming of Shelbyville.  Ms. Fleming is survived by daughters, Paula Robison and Angie English, both of Tyler; sisters, Marie Hicks of Diabol, Elaine Biscamp of Jasper; brother Donald Murray of Kennard.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
