    Clausell S. Owens, 92, of Center died March 16, 2008 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born March 15, 1916, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Joseph Frank Sims and Beatrice Hunington Sims.  Ms. Owens was preceded in death by Husband, Robert Owens; six Sisters and two Brothers.  Survivors include Daughter, Karen Belrose of Huxley; Son, Pete Owens of Center; Step-daughter, Dorothy Griffin of Houston; Step-son James Owens of Houston; Brother Ward Sims of Shelbyville; Step-sister, Shirley Sutton of Jacksboro. 
    Thomas Watkins, 72, of Tenaha died March 16, 2008 at his residence.  Cremation was requested and ashes in Old Home Cemetery. Born February 22, 1936, he was the son of Robert Edward and Era Spurlock Watkins and they preceded him in death.  Survivors include Sons, Thomas Watkins of Tenaha, Josh Watkins of Lake Charles, Louisian;   Daughter, Molly Robbins of Sulphur, Louisiana; Brother Don Watkins of Joaquin; Sister, sherry Welch of Frankston.  Mangum Funeral Home. 
    Derrick Dwayne Murphy, 21, of Nacogdoches died March 15, 2008, in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.  Born September 24, 1986, in Nacogdoches, he was the son of Jesse Dwayn Murphy of Nacogdoches and Vonda Gaile Dozier Murphy of Chandler.  Survivors include Wife Desiree Nichole Kelly Murphy; Step-son, Cameron Nash of Spring; Mother, Vonda Gaile Dozier Murphy; Father and Step-mother, Jesse Dwayne and Kim Murphy of Nacogdoches; sister, Jessica Murphy of Timpson; Brother, Dameon Hooper of Timpson; Step-brothers, Michael McNeely and Manuell McNeely both of Nacogdoches.  Laird Funeral Home.
    Majorie Hill, 85, of Joaquin died March 18, 2008 at her residence.  Cremation was requested.  Born January 29, 1923, she was the daughter of Charles and Edith Meacham Meads. Ms. Hill was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Vernon G. Hill, Sister, Edna Mae Meads; Brothers George Meads and Bob Meads; Half-sister, Sybl Meads.  Survivors include Daughters, Pat Hames of Little Rock, Arkansas, Cathy Emmons of Shreveport, Louisiana; Sons, Dr. Larry Hill of West Monroe, Louisiana, Robert Hill of Wichita, Kansas and David Hill; Brother Richard Meads of Greeley, Colorado; Sister, Vesta Schneider of Ft. Collins, Colorado.  Mangum Funeral Home.
    Kory Vance Owens, 23, of Shepherd died March 16, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida.  Burial was in Willow Grove Cemetery, Shelby County  Born November 26, 1984 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Survivors include Daughter, Jordan Owens of Shepherd; Mother Janeene Aarons of Shepherd; Father, David Biggar of Joaquin; Brother, Troy Medley of Shephers.
    Tony Allen "Bubba" Whittington, 23, of Mooringsport, Louisiana died March 18, 2008 in Mooringsport.  Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born February 22, 1985, in Bossier City, Louisiana, he was the son of Tony Whittington and Patricia Ayers Whittington.  Survivors include Parents, Tony and Patricia Whittington; Daughter,s Skylar Rayne Whittington, Mikayla Whittington, both of Mooringsport, Louisiana and Alexis Cheyenne Hymphries of Blanchard, Louisiana; Sister, Deuner Ayers of Stonewall, Louisiana.
