Margaret Alexander Lowe, 65, of Logansport, Louisiana, died March 17, 2010 at her home. Burial was in Jckson Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born November 22, 1944 in Houston to Jefferson Alexander and Mary M. Johnson Alexander. She was preceded in death by, Sisters, Florine Jones, Christine Keels, Katherine Wheless. Survivors include, Husband, Jerry Lowe of Logansport; Daughters, Cheryl Harvey & husband Mike of Joaquin, Valarie Kirkwood & husband Jackie of Tenaha, Laura Settle & husband Eddy of Stonewall, Virginia Adkison & husband William of Mansfield. VIRGIL WOODY MATTHEWS
Virgil Woody “Slick” Matthews, 91, of Center, died March 20, 2010, in Center. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center. He was born March 27, 1918 in Mundy, Texas to Adolphus W. Matthews and Josephine Fox Matthews. Mr. Matthews served in the US Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by, Brothers, Edwin, Estell, Joe, Vernie, Horace, Lawrence, Loy; Sisters, Laura Faulk, Lois O’Neal. Survivors include, Twin Daughters, Judy Foster & husband Terry of Center, Jerry Van Smith of Seminole.

JOE HUDNALL
Joe Hudnall, 63, of Shelbyville, died March 22, 2010. Burial will be in West Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born April 20, 1946 to Vernon A.”Red” Hudnall, Sr. and Margaret Boudreaux Hudnall. He served in the US Army for 7 years with 2 Tours in Vietnam and he was a Purple Heart recipient. He was preceded in death by, Parents. Sam Hooper, Sr., 87, of the Paxton community, died March 7, 2010 in Shreveport, La. Burial was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born September 1, 1922 in the Paxton community to Jesse and Dolly Crawford Hooper. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II.
