The long anticipated, first annual Myers Family Reunion. Be sure and mark your calendar, May 15, 2004, starting around 10:00 am. Ramah Baptist Church, between Tenaha and Paxton, Texas. This will be an opportunity to visit with folks you probably haven't seen in years. Everyone should bring an old fashioned covered dish. All family members and friends are urged to attend. WILLIAM HAWKINS
   William Hawkins, 81, of Abilene, formerly of Center, died March 21, 2004 in Abilene.  Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.  Born June 16, 1922, in Uvalde, he was the son of Irving Washington Hawkins and Victoria Blakenship Hawkins Johnson.   Survivors include Jeanette Plunkett of Abilene; son, William E. Hawkins, Jr. of McCloud.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ROBERT BENJAMIN BOLTON
   Robert Benjamin Bolton, 78, of Center died March 21, 2004 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial was in Hendicks Family Cemetery.  Born October 20, 1925, in Shelby County, he was the son of William J. and Lavada Grissom Bolton.  Survivors include his wife Faye Bolton of Center; sons, Travis Bolton of San Augustine, Royce Bolton of Nacogdoches, Troyce Hendricks of Minden, Louisiana, Roger Hendricks of Center and Bobby Hendricks and Dewayne Hendricks, both of Timpson; daughters, Bobbie Ann Johnson of Neuville, Betty Elswick of Terrell Debra Barbee of Shelbyville and Lisa Fredieu of Timpson; brother, Henry Bolton of Blanchard, Louisiana.   Mangum Funeral Home.
JEANNE LAFFLER
   Jeanne Laffler, 71, of Center died December 20, 2003.  Cremation was requested.  Marker located in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include daughter, Robin Lehtimake of Troy, Illinois, son, Richard Laffler of DeSoto, Missouri; sisters, Joann Holzman of Oletha, Kansas, Lynn Martin of Fenton, Missouri, Gail Kervatt of Oak Ridge, New Jersey, Cheryl Chalupny of St. Louis, Missouri and Sandra Gregory of Pleasant Hill, Missouri.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
HILDA O'REAR
   Hilda O'Rear, 92, of Huxley, died March 24, 2004 in Center. Burial was in Wimberly-Rayburn Cemetery.  Born June 8, 1911, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of George and Jennie Strickland Wych.   Mrs. O'Rear was married to Joe O'Rear and she preceded him in death.  Survivor include daughter, Jo Ann Lanigan of Shreveport, Louisiana.  Watson & Funeral Home.
JOYCE M. CHANDLER
    Joyce M. Chandler, 61, of Center died March 24, 2004 in Nacogdoches.   Burial was in Mt. Herman Cemetery.   Born August 18, 1942, in Nacogdoches, she was the daughter of Winfred and Edna Avis Adkison Luman.  Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chandler; mother, Edna Avis Adkison Akridge; special daddy, Luther Akridge; birth father, Winfred Luman; brothers, Jimmy Akridge and Benny Joe Akridge.  Survivors include sons, Ricky Chandler, Sr., Randy Chandler, Robbie Chandler, all of Center; daughters, Relissa Bailey of Nacogdoches, Rhonda Fountain Rachelle Chandler, both of Center; step-mothers, Ruth Akridge of Center and Minnie Luman of Tenaha; sisters, Carolyn of Center and Susan Tommer of Nacogdoches; brothers, Billy Akridge of Center, Gene Akridge of Nacogdoches and Danny Akridge of Center. 
LEON SANDERS
   Leon Sanders, 74, of San Antonio died March 11, 2004 in San Antonio.   Born January 1, 1930, he was the son of J. B. Sanders and Rachel Weaver Sanders.   Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents, J.b. and Rachel Sanders and Daughter, Kerry Sanders Daniel.  Survivors include his wife, Kay of San Antonio; daughter, Gail of Nashville, Tennessee; son, Howard Sanders of San Diego, California; sisters, Hazel Faye Sanders Andre of New Iberia, Louisiana and Sandra Bradshaw of College Station.
