ELIZABETH BERRY THOMAS BOOTH---Elizabeth Berry Thomas Booth, 89, of Timpson, died March 24, 2002.  She was cremated.  Born December 12, 1912, in Timple, she was the daughter of Dr. J.C. Thomas and Mary Fulton Thomas of Glasgow Scotland.  Mrs. Booth is survived by her husband, Edwin Brown of Timpson; sons, Tom Booth of New York and Edwin Booth of Crosby; daughters, Betsy Bouchard of Chicago and Maggie Booth of Galveston.  Taylor Funeral Home.
GERTRUDE WILLIAMS BRANDON---Gertrude Williams Brandon, 85, of Moulton, died March 23, 2002.  Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.   Born January 28, 1917, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Herman Bolton and Cora Oxsheer Williams.   She was preceded in death by her husband Oran Brandon; and daughter Jackie Bairfield.  Mrs. Brandon is survived by sons, Buddy Brandon of Gonzales, Carl Brandon of Porter; daughter Susie Brandon of Timpson.  Taylor Funeral Home.
EVELYN N. PEARCE---Evelyn N. Pearce, 79, of Texarkana died March 24, 2002 at he residence.  Burial was in Joaquin Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born March 10, 1923 in Monroe, Louisiana, she was  retired from State Farm Insurance Company.   Mrs. Pearce is survived by her husband Max Pearce.  She is survived by her son Larry Pearce of Shreveport; sisters, Florien Nixon of Kansas City, Missouri and Billie Ford of Texarkana, Texas.
ESTELLE DELANEY SCHWARTZ---Estelle Delaney Schwartz, 60, of Dallas died March 18, 2002 in Dallas.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born May 27, 1941, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Johnny Leroy and Thelma Adell McDaniel Delaney.   Mrs. Schwartz was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Schwartz; and father Johnny Delaney.  She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Merliss of Dallas and Ellen Kennon of Dallas; brother, Charles Delaney of Pasadena.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
JERRY W. AKINS---Jerry W. Akins, 53, of Tenaha died March 26, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in New Hope Cemetery. Born February 13, 1949, he was the son of James Louis and Mildred Louise Greer Akins.  He is survived by his wife, Mozelle Akins of Tenaha; daughters, Michelle Tavera of Center Jennifer Akins of Tenaha, Theresa Zimmermann of Fountain, Florida and Melissa Parnell of Ft. Worth; sons, Jeffery Akins and Jerry Akins II both of Tenaha and Jimmy Bush of Victoria; sisters, Susie Greer Alford of Center, Bobbie Greer Monts of Longview and Jane Tubbe of Nacogdoches.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
BILLY GERONE MILLS---Billy Gerone Mills, 66, of Gladwater died March 25, 2002.  Burial was in Smith Cemetery.  He was born August 14, 1935 in Center.  He is survived by his wife Debbie Mills of Gladwater; daughter Deanna Townsend of Pritchett; sons, Ricky Gerone Mills of White Oak and Robbie Lynn Mills of Gladwater; brothers Alfred Mills of Arlington, Johnny Mills and Charlie Mills both of Gladwater; sisters, Suzette Brod of Union Grove, Nellie Marie Irby of Longview and Doris Mary Berry of Shreveport.
