She was b. 01-01-1885 (per her tombstone info).   Born in Ms. Living with her cousin Lou Murphy Holt per the 1900 census.   Jessie, widow, d. 04-13-1964 Harris co. CLINTON PAUL CROCKER
   Clinton Paul Crocker, 76, of Austin died March 25, 2004 in Carrolton.   Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Shelby County.  Born April 7, 1927, in  Joaquin, he was the son of Clinton A. and Clara Stephens  Crocker.  Survivors include his wife, Barbara Crocker of Austin; son, Gary Clinton Crocker of San Diego, California; daughters, Karen Ann Crocker of Hutchins, Ellen Gail Cole of Dallas and Nancy Lynn Sinsabugh of Dallas; step-son, Ronald C. Harrison; step-daughter, Kristi Lynn Addington of Austin; sister, Reba Lynn Crocker Taylor of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
EULA FLEMING RUSSELL
   Eula Fleming Russell, 95, of Shelby County died March 28, 2004, at her residence.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born February 20, 1909, she was the daughter of O.H. and Lois Bush Fleming.  Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband, B.D. Russell; parents O.H. and Lois Bush Fleming and six brothers, Paul Rowe, Jeff, Joel, Babe and Shine Fleming. Survivors include daughter Jamye Russell Piersol; son Jack Russell.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
VALYN LEWIS GANDY
   Valyn Lewis Gandy, 78, of Center died March 27, 2004 in Center. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.  Born March 15, 1926, in Louisiana, she was the daughter of Everett B. and Nellie Mae Day Lewis.  Mrs. Gandy was preceded in death by her husband, Garth Gandy.  Survivors include daughter, Cheri Due of Lufkin; son Steven Gandy of Lufkin.  Mangum Funeral Home.
BEATRICE HENDRICKS
   Beatrice Hendricks, 82, of Center died March 27, 2004 at her residence.   Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.   Born March 19, 1922, she was the daughter of Thomas and Viola Adams Livingston.   Mrs. Hendricks was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Hendricks; daughter, Joy Bailey; son, Charles Stanley Hendricks; sisters, Armatha Bailey and Dell Tindol; brothers, James W. Livingston and T.W. Livingston.  Survivors include children, Barbara Renfro, James Hendricks, Wayne Hendricks, Larry Hendricks, Jerry Hendricks, Becky Windham and Sheila Eubank, all of Center and Patsy Adams of Joaquin.  Sisters, Shirley Tenney of Nacogdoches and Annis Stone of Center.  Mangum Funeral Home.
VERLON E. ELLERBE
   Verlon E. Ellerbe, 54, of Houston, died March 25, 2004 in Galveston.   Burial was in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County.   Born July 17, 1949, in Wisner, Louisiana, he was the son of Jesse Crawford and Carolyn Ensminger Ellerbe.  Mr. Ellerbe was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Carolyn Ellerbe and brother, William Watson.  Survivors include sister, Mary Owens of Shelbyville and Sarah Ermel of Tomball; brother Gerald Watson of Houston.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ERA B. SCOTT
   Era B. Scott, 89, died March 24, 2004 in Port Arthur.  Burial was in Sholar Cemetery.  Born October 12, 1914, in Joaquin, she was the daughter of Edward N. Whiddon and Mildred B. Daniels Whiddon.   Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband John A. Scott.  Survivors include sons, Charles Scott of Nederland, Hubert Scott of Arkansas and Jerry Scott of Baytown; daughter, July Johnson of Bridge City; Ona Lee Pyron of Tyler, Dovie Cole of Tyler and Mavis Forsyth of Port Arthur.  Mangum Funeral Home.
JUANITA HUGHES RITTER
   Juanita Hughes Ritter, 71, of Carthage died march 29, 2004 in Tyler.   Burial was Corinth Cemetery.  Born May 13, 1932, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Allen and Bessie Era Hughes.   She was married first to Dan Welch and second to Lester Ritter, both preceded her in death.  Survivors include sons, Marcus Welch of Houston and Joe Ritter of Carthage; daughters, Peggy Mims of Gary, Judy Ritter of Reklaw and Virginia Ritter of Carthage; brothers, Selby Hughes of Cleveland and Howard Hughes of Tenaha; sisters, Madean Cousiamano of Webster, Diane Pugh of Gary and Ruth Wagstaff of Tenaha.  Taylor Funeral Home.
