            The 30th annual Leo and Ada McSwain Memorial Family Reunion will be held in Colmesneil Texas at the McSwain "lakehouse" on Saturday, May 26, 2007.  This reunion was started in 1978 by the children of Leo and Ada McSwain and has been held in Colmesneil ever since. The living children of Leo and Ada are Norma George, Odell Hart, and E.C. McSwain. There will be family, food, pictures, and family info. Obituaries
GEORGE DEWITT MORAN
    George DeWitt Moran, 90, of Tomball died March 30, 2007.  Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born November 16, 1916, in Thornton, Arkansas, he was the son of Veo Valdex and Annie Irene Sindle Moran. Mr. Moran was a veteran of US Navy.  He was preceded in death by parents, Veo Valdex and Annie Moran; and wife, Morjorie Beck Moran.  Survivors include a host of friends.  Mangum Funeral Home.
LETA FLEMING LANSFORD
    Leta Fleming Lansford, 86 of Center died March 31, 2007 in Center.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born August 24, 1920. in Center, she was the daughter of James C. Fleming and Ollie Campbell Fleming.  Mrs. Lansford was retired as dietician with Shelby Memorial Hospital.  She was preceded in death by parents, James Fleming and Ollie Campbell Fleming; Husband, Douglas Lansford; four sisters and one brother.   Survivors include daughters, Rita Danner, Sue Chapman and Vicki Lee, all of Center; Son, Mark Lansford of Lufkin; Brother, J. C. Fleming of Beaumont.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ANGELA SMITH
    Angela Smith, 50, of Carthage, formerly of Timpson, died March 30, 2007 in Carthage. Cremation was requested  Born October 1, 1956, in Hever, California, she was the daughter of Hubert Parkman and Janie Trujillo Parkman.  Survivors include Daughter, Dereka Jane Bristock of San Francisco, California;  Sister, Susann Sancton of Joaquin; brother, Darrell Lee Parkman of Gilmer; Parents, Hubert and Janie Parkman.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home
GARRY STEPHEN WALKER
    Garry Stephen Walker, 68, of Onalaska, died March 28, 2007.  Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born August 30, 1938, he was the son of Ray G. and Viola Walker.  Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Viola Walker.  Survivors include, children, Kelli Martines of Clear Lake and John Melcher of Clear Lake.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ETOULA MOORE-WATSON
    Etoula Moore- Watson, 86, died April 1, 2007.  Burial was in Blair Cemetery, Shelby County.   Survivors include Daughter, Glenda Brittain of Timpson; sister Burlene Anderson, Timpson
KELLY DEAN STOCKTON
    Kelly Dean Stockton, 59, of Dallas died April 2, 2007 at his residence in Dallas.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Shelby County.  Born April 14, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the son of Dean and Genevieve Stockton and they preceded him in death.  Survivors include wife, Monette Stockton; furry children, Barcardi and Taz; brothers, Tommy of of Tulsa Oklahoma, Danny of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
MARTY RAY BRITTAIN, JR.
   Marty Ray Brittain, Jr., 51, died April 4, 2007.  Burial was in Folsom Chapel Cemetery.  Born September 27, 1955. he was the son of Marty Ray Brittain, Sr. and Virginia Palmer Brittain.  Mr. Brittain was preceded in death by his father Marty Ray Brittain, Sr.   Survivors include Wife, Kathy Wheeler Brittain of Center; son, Johnathan Brittain of Center; Daughter, Ashley Brittain of Center; Mother, Virginia Palmer Brittain of Center; Sister, Sharon Stewart.  Mangum Funeral Home.
LAMERLE DUNCAN MCCOY
   
LaMerle Duncan McCoy, 86, of Royse City, formerly of Joaquin died April 6, 2007.  Burial was in Wimberly-Rayburn Cemetery.  Born November 26. 1920, in Joaquin, she was the daughter of Robert Duncan and Lorene Kendall Duncan.  Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by Parents, Robert Duncan & Lorene Kendall Duncan; Husband Waymon McCoy; Brothers, Lamar and Elvin Duincan.  Survivors include son, Don McCoy of Royse City; Brother, Leo Duncan of Shelbyville.  Resthaven Funeral in Rockwall.
TOMMIE YATES FURLOW
 Tommie Yates Furlow, 68, of Keithville, Louisiana died April 6, 2007 in Shreveport.  Burial was in Jackson Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born June 17, 1938 in Joaquin, she was the daughter of Thomas Yates and Dovie Hinton Yates.  Mrs. Furlow was a member of the Red Hat Society.  She was preceded in death by parents Thomas Yates and Dovie Yates; two brothers and one sister; son Donnie Matthews.  Survivors include Husband, Buck D. Furlow of Keithville, Louisiana; Daughter, Debbie Mahaffey of Slidell, Louisiana; Son Jimmy Matthews of Shreveport, Louisiana; stepdaughter, Pam Coleman of Keithville Louisiana and Peggy Kolb of Kimberling City, Missouri; Stepson, Buck E. Furlow of Blanchard, Louisiana.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
