Irene Ramsey Cammack, age 97, of Carthage, TX, died April 13, 2010 in Carthage. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born on Feb. 28, 1913, in the Shady Grove Community near Timpson, to Charles Ed and Pinkie Childs Ramsey. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Edna Franks; Husband, R. L. Cammack. Survivors include, Sons, Charles L. Cammack & wife Jane of Beckville, George M. Cammack & wife Loretta of Nacogdoches; Daughters, Joyce Ann Allums & husband Bruce of Carthage, Bobbie Woods & husband James of Beckville.

Elvin Smith Permenter, age 84, of Center died April 10, 2010 at his residence. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center. He was preceded in death by, Parents, John B. Permenter and Annie Laurie Alvis Permenter; Brothers, Guy Permenter, Talmadge T. Permenter; Sister, Marcel Permenter. Survivors include, Wife, Yvonne Permenter of Center; Son, James Austin Permenter of Center; Daughter, Belinda Loftice & husband Matt of Center; Sisters, Frances Collum & husband Jack of Shreveport, La., Jean Jenning & husband Clyde of Roswell, Ga.; Brother, Darrell Campbell of Columbia, SC.
