JACK E. LATIMER
Jack E. Latimer, 81, of Joaquin, died April 24, 2017 in Center. Interment was in Jackson Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born February 24, 1936 in Joaquin to John Robert “Bob” Latimer and Bertha Ellis Latimer. He was a graduate of Joaquin High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Barbara Howell Latimer; Brother, Leon Latimer; Sister, Lanell “Bobbye” Emiken. Survivors include, Daughter, Debbie Murray & husband, Bob of Texarkana, Texas; Sons, Tim Latimer of Joaquin, John Latimer of Palestine.

CRISTY FAYLENE CONNELL
Christy Faylene Connell, 88, of Galena Park, Texas, died April 24, 2017 in Galena Park, Texas. Interment will be in Timpson Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born December 31, 1928 in the Buena Vista community, Shelby County, Texas, to Ben Sam and Hettie Obera Hall Rhodes. She graduated from Timpson High School in 1946. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Charles "Pete" Connell; Son, Milton Connell; Sister, Martha Jo Rhodes; Brother, Jerry Van Rhodes. Survivors include, Sons, Mark Connell & wife, Leisa of Kingwood, Texas, David Connell of Galena Park, Texas; Daughters, Elaine Welch & husband, Marcus of Pasadena, Texas, Becky O’Neal & husband, Bill of Dayton, Texas; Brothers, John Wallace Rhodes & wife, Mary Lou of Dayton, Texas, Ben Sam Rhodes Jr. & wife, Linda Sue of Livingston, Texas.

WAYDEAN WILLIAMS
Waydean Williams, 80, of Silsbee, formerly of Shelby County and Sabine County, Texas, died April 20, 2017 in Silsbee. His wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time. His cremains will be interred in Mason Cemetery in Milam at a later date. He was born September 10, 1936 in Anson, Texas in Jones County to, James Prentice Williams and Willie Opal McCoy Williams. He served his country in the United States Army.  He is survived by nephew, John Williams of Kountze.

Travis Lee Cartwright, Sr., 72, of Shelbyville, died April 24, 2017, at his residence in Shelbyville. Interment was in Thompson Cemetery, Shelby County. Survivors include, Son, Travis Lee (Falunde) Cartwright, Jr. of Houston; Daughter, TaWana Cartwright (Tyrone Edwards) of Nacogdoches; Sisters, Queen Brinson of Shelbyville, Shirley (Willie) Ratliff of Shelbyville.

Diann Harper, 72, of Center, died April 26, 2017 in Lufkin, Texas. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Center, Texas. Survivors include, Daughters, Venissa (Darron) Robinson of Grand Cane, Louisiana, Stacie (Micheal) Terrell of Center; Sons, Mervin (Sandra) Harper of Joaquin, Roderick Harper of Dallas; Sisters, Linda (Charlie) Oliver of Marshall, Brenda Williams of Center, Brenelsa Williams of Center; Brothers, Jerry (Annie) Williams of Center, Jesse Williams of Center.
