The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting May 16, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our speaker this month will be either Mr. Sam Wheeler or Mr. Mike Brister. He will speak to us about a program they have for the CenterAthletic Department called Uncommon. Everyone is invited to attend.

Earl Cedell Chessher, Jr., 68, of Huntington Beach, California, died April 25, 2017, in California. Interment will be in Weaver Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born January 08, 1949 to Earl and Margaret Chessher. He was preceded in death by his parents. He served his country for 26 years in the USAF.
