Obituaries
MARLON BRITTAIN
    Marlon Brittain, 67, of Center died April 29, 2005 at his residence.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.  Born February 24, 1938, he was the son of Woodrow W. and Lillian Odell Stewert Brittain.  Mr. Brittain was retired as a Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service.
    Survivors include his wife, Leola Brittain of Center; daughters, Donna Presley of Conway, Arkansas and Pam Hayes of Greenbrier, Arkansas; sons, Mitchel Brittain of Magnola and Stephen Brittain of Columbia, California; brother Charlie O'Brian Brittain of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
WELDON A. DENBY
   Weldon A. Denby, 75, of San Augustine died April 28, 2005, in San Augustine. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born October 1, 1929, in Shelby County, he was the son of Clifford Reaves and Versie Viola Denby.  Mr. Denby was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
      Survivors include his wife, Ruth Denby of San Augustine; sons, Horst W. Denby of Shelby County and Jimmey Earl Denby of San Augustine; daughters, Peggy L. Norton of Vidor and Heidi Gale Williams of Queen City; brothers, Jack Wallace Denby of Joaquin and Bruce Howard Denby of Gary; sisters, Beatrice Dutton of Shelby County.  Wyman Roberts Funeral Home.
DOROTHY PING
   Dorothy Ping, 83, of Baytown died April 7, 2005.  Burial was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born July 8, 1921, in Tenaha, she was the daughter of Allen and Rena Lee Samford.  Mrs. King was retired from General Telephone Company.  She is preceded in death by her Husband, William R. Ping, brother, Jeff Sanford and sisters, Vina Spears, Tuth Templin and Mary Bachman.  Mangum Funeral Home.
JOE WAYNE BARTON
   Joe Wayne Barton, 57, of Center died May 2, 2005, in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Old Home Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born August 18, 1947, in Center, he was the son of Ellis and Irene Collum Barton.  He is survived by cousins, aunt and uncle.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
DARLINE RUSSELL MILLER
   Darline Russell Miller, 49, of Joaquin died May 2, 2005, in Center.  Burial was in Jackson Cemetery.  Born July 25, 1955, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Walter E. and Raye Black Russell.  Survivors include husband Jackie Miller of Joaquin; daughter, Angie Miller of Joaquin; sister, Gail Scruggs of Keithville; brothers, Connor Russell of Florida and Don Russell and Steve Russell, both of Joaquin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home
