The Wilkerson Cemetery Reunion will be held May 19th from 10 - 1 pm for friends, family and neighbors. Please come and bring a covered dish, your old photos and memories and help us remember the good old days.    Directions: From Center take Hwy. 7 West to Aiken, turn left onto FM 806, County Rd. 1210. Go 3/4 mile , turn right and cross cattle guard. VELMA V. HARPER---Velma V. Harper, 88, of Tyler, died May 3, 2002 in Tyler. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born September 14, 1913, in Enterprise, Alabama, she was the daughter of Charles and Zanada Weeks Andrews.  She was married to Howard McKinley Harper and he preceded her in death.  Mrs. Harper is survived by sons, William Harper of Concord, Travis Harper of Houston and Earnest Harper of Jacinto City; daughters, Lou Corbin of Tyler, Lucille Faubus of Lake Whitney and Lilly Bixby of Oceanside, California; sisters, Hazel Crawford of Garrison and Mildred Horn of Center.   Garrison Funeral Home.
ERWIN WEEKS CRAWFORD, JR.---Erwin Weeks Crawford, Jr., 81, of Silsbee died May 3, 2002 in Silsbee.  Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.  Born September 13, 1920, he was the son of Eddye and Erwin Weeks Crawford of Timpson.  Survivors include daughter, Christeena Crawford McMahan of Plano; sons, Erwin Weeks Crawford, III of Timpson and Clay Wallace Crawford of Silsbee.  Farmer Funeral Home Silsbee.
RICHARD EARL GRUBBS, SR.---Richard Earl Grubbs, Sr., 77, of Center died May 4, 2002 at his residence.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born February 5, 1925 in Center, he was the son of Fred and Alice Grubbs.  Survivors include his wife   Tommy Duke Grubbs of Center; children, Gary Dixon Grubbs of Center, Kelly Allen Grubbs of Douglas, Paul Marcus Grubbs of Etoile, Richard Earl Grubbs, Jr. of Neuville Community, Joy Beth Austin of Pasadena, Fred Scott of Pasadena and Tammy Kay Malek of Pasadena.  Mangum Funeral Home.
LAURA BELL LEE VERNER---Laura Bell Lee Verner, 61, of Center, died May 4, 2002 at her residence.  Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.  Born December 1, 1940, she was the daughter of Tollie C. Lee and Willie B. Lee.  Survivors include husband J. Kenneth Verner; sons J. Craig Verner of Quitman and Timothy A. Verner of New York; sister Barbara Isaacson of Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Mangum Funeral Home.
HELEN WYATT---Helen Wyatt, 83, of the Sardis Community died May 8, 2002. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.  Born October 15, 1918, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Marion and Vera Hughes Fults.  Survivors includes Aunts, Irene Largent and Lela Mitchell, both of Center.  Watson& Sons Funeral Home.
BESS VAUGHN LANIER---Bess Vaughn Lanier, 71, of Huxley, died May 8, 2002 in Center.  Burial was in Strong Cemetery.  Born October 26, 1930 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Clayton C. and Minnie Spivey Vaughn.   Survivors include her husband, Bill Lanier of Huxley; daughters, Nelda Pacheco of Shreveport, Louisiana, Carol Duggan of Waco; sons, W.C.Thompson of Shelbyville, Dennis Thompson of Easkom and Robert Lanier and Randy Lanier, both of Waco; sisters, Eula Long of Huxley and Catherine Rash of Monticello, Arkansas; brothers, Bill Vaughn and Jack Vaughn, both of Huxley.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
MYRON OWENS BICKHAM---Myron Owens  Bickham, 78, of Center, died May 9, 2002 in Plano. Burial was in Shelbyville Cemetery.  Mrs. Bickham was born July 30, 1913.  Survivors include husband Fred Lee Bickham of Center; daughters, Shirley Nell Smith of Dallas and Susan Sorrells of Plano; son John David Bickham of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Ruth Duhon of Wetumpka, Alabama, Marie Kelley of Montgomery, Alabama; brother, Jim Morgan Owens of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.  Mangum Funeral Home
