Derrick Pina, 17, of Center, died May 6, 2010 in Tyler. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born October 4, 1992 in Jacksonville to Jay Harvey and Pamela Simms. He was preceded in death by, Mother, Pamela Simms; Brother, Rigo Pina; Sister, Hope Michelle Simms. Survivors include, Father, Jay Harvey of Center; Brothers, Keith D. Simms of Nacogdoches, Raul “Toby” Simms, Jr. of Center, Pepe Pina of Nacogdoches; Sisters, Rosa Pina of Nacogdoches, Chrissy Pina of Lufkin, Jennie Pina of Lufkin.

Doris Gertrude Wagner, 90, died May 10, 2010. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, McAllen, Texas. Doris was born on Oct. 13, 1919 to George and Merinda Chorpening on the family farm north of Alamo, Texas. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Paul F. Wagner. Survivors include, Sons, Gary P. Wagner & wife Deborah of Center, Texas, James T. Wagner & wife Teresa of McAllen, Texas, Randall L. Wagner & wife Mary Gay of Kerrville, Texas.

Felicia Jo Norris, age 77, died May 9, 2010 in Houston, Texas. She was born February 2, 1933 in Brenham, Texas to Theron Ellis and Sue Smith Floyd Moses. Felicia and her husband, the late Ross Edward Norris, Sr. grew up together in Center, Texas where they married in 1953. Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Survivors include, Sons, Ross Edward Norris, Jr. of Willis, Texas, Joseph Kelly Norris & wife Kelly; Sisters, Mrs. Carl Todd VanWay (Suanne) of Victoria, Mrs. J.W. McCauley (Libby) and her husband of Willis.

Marquette “Coot” Wallace Emanis Oliver, 92, died May 7, 2010 in Center, Texas. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. Marquette was born on December 8, 1917, in the Arcadia Community of Shelby County, to Frank Wallace and Flossie Mae Pate Wallace. She was preceded in death by, Parents; 1st Husband, Eloy Emanis; Brother, Jesse Franklin; Sister, Vada Mae Tinsley. Survivors include, Husband, Olen Oliver of Center; Daughter, Jackie Emanis Grant & husband Neil, of the Arcadia Community; Son, Ronnie Emanis & wife Charlsey, of Center; Stepsons, Olen Oliver Jr. & wife Linda of Pasadena, Jim Oliver & wife Glenda of LaPorte, Richard Oliver & wife Vickie of Houston; Sisters, Marguerite Adams, Sue Hagler, Marsha Askew; Brothers, Bud Wallace & wife Billie, Joe Wallace & wife Elaine.

John A. White, Jr., 89, of Tenaha, died May 7, 2010 at his home. Burial was in Ramah Cemetery, Tenaha. He was born July 31, 1920 in Tenaha to John A. White, Sr. and Mary Belle Holt White. Mr. White served his country in the US Navy aboard the battleship “USS Mississippi” in the Pacific Theatre, where he was an eyewitness to the Japanese surrender in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945. Survivors include,
