Shelby County Museum is preparing for an exhibit to honor Shelby County Current Military and Veterans of Korean, Vietnam, Gulf War, Afghanistan.  If you or have a relative that is serving in the Military.  Please supply a photo and info, (rank, parents/spouse name where served,  preferably in uniform and email, bring by or snail mail to the museum.   The exhibit will open on Friday May 26,  before Memorial Day.

Obituaries
<
EVELIA MCSWAIN
    Evelia McSwain, 78, died May 11, 2006, at her residence.  Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born July 4, 1927, in Center, she was the daughter of Willie Johnson and Mary Brown Johnson.  Mrs. McSwain was preceded in death by her parents; Son, Bobby Joe Inman and Brothers Weizie, Eldridge and James Ray Johnson. Survivors include husband, Earl McSwain; brother, Leroy John of Kansas; sister, Odell Strahan of Center.  Watson & Sons funeral Home.
JOYCE ANN CUNNINGHAM
    Joyce Ann Cunningham, 63, of Huxley, died May 16, 2006.  Burial was in Brookside Cemetery, in Houston. Mrs. Cunningham is survived by her husband, Jim Cunningham  of Huxley; daughter; Brenda Alford of Center; mother Inez Scott, of Humble; sister Louise Gage of Humble and brother James Scott of Humble.
SKYLAR SHEA WILLIAMS
    Skylar Shea Williams died May 17,2006.  Burial in Powdrill Cemetery.  Baby Skylar is survived by Parents, Stephen and Tanya Williams of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
VANCE ALVIN "BROTHER BOY" CURTIS
     Vance Alvin Curtis, 85 of Center died May 17, 2006.  Burial was in West Hamilton Cemetery, Shelbyville.  Survivors include his Wife Roxie Ann Curtis, of Center; daughters, Freda Gandy and Rose Blackmond, both of Houston and Tenia Stanford, of Center; stepsons, Edward Moorman and Jimmy Smith, both of Center.
