"The 31st annual Leo and Ada McSwain Memorial Family Reunion will be held in Colmesneil Texas at the McSwain "lakehouse" on  Saturday, May 24, 2008.  This reunion was started in 1978 by the children of Leo and Ada McSwain and has been held in Colmesneil ever since. The living children of Leo and Ada are Norma George, Odell Hart, and E.C. McSwain. There will be family, food, pictures, and family info. JANNIE M. JONES
    Jannie M. Jones, 54, of Tenaha died May 15, 2008 at her residence.  Burial was in Union Cemetery, Tenaha.  Born October 4, 1953, in Brinkley, Arkasas, she was the daughter of Lindsey Kindrex and Mildred Gay Watson Kindrex.  Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her Parents; Sister, Ruby Puckett; Brothers, Henry Hendrex and Tillman Kindrex; Half Brother, Elijah Kindrex and Delbert Kindrex; Half Sister, Gladys Gilsdorf.  Survivors include Husband, Arthur D. Jones of Tenaha; Daughters, Angelia Kaye Smith of Arkansas, Darlena Gaye Mask of Arkansas and Sheri Lynn Watts of Arkansas; Son, James Edward Watts, Jr. of Arkansas.

TALMOND BUTLER WHITE
     Talmond Butler White, 84, of Timpson died May 17, 2008 in Garrison.  Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.  Born March 30, 1924, in Wayne County Missouri, he was the son of Elios and Mary Mayes White. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivor include Bob White of Timpson.  Garrison Funeral Home.
JEAN BLACKMON
     Jean Blackmon, 75, of Carthage died May 18, 2008 in Carthage.  Burial was in Wimberly-Rayburn Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born June 13, 1932, she was the daughter of Will and Myrtie Mae Hitt Collum.  Ms. Blackmon was preceded in death by Parents; Brother, John Collum; Sister, Willie Mae McMahon.   Survivors include Daughter, Ann Johnston of Bottneau, Washington;Caroline Dorris of Ocean Springs Mississippand Linda Coker of Doyline, Louisiana; Son, Raymond Blackmon of Tenaha.

BETTY RUTH ASHLEY
     Betty Ruth Ashley, 77, of Roseville, California died May 16, 2008 at her residence.  Burial was in Mt. Herman Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born February 6, 1931, she was the daughter of James Earl and Ruby Powdrill Fults.  Ms. Ashley was preceded in death by her Parents; Infant Brother and Sister,, Maxine McSwain.  Survivors include Husband, William T. Ashley of Roseville, California; Daughter, Dianna Elaine of Rosevilla, California; Brother, Thomas Fults of Center; Sister, Dorothy Black of Waxahachie, Texas,

GEORGE EDWARD COX
    George Edward Cox, 81, of Timpson died May 21, 2008, in Carthage.  Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.  Born December 5. 1926, in Timpson, he was the son of Jesse Morgan and Daisy Jerusha Smith Cox.  Mr. Cox was self employed Dairy Farmer. Survivors include Sisters, Beverly Cranford of Carthage and Mary Lynn Harris of Timpson; Brother, Thomas Joe Cox of Houston.  Taylor Funeral Home.
Y. W. "BILL" ROGERS, JR
     Y. W. "Bill" Rogers, Jr.,  76, of Center died May 21, 2008 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Shelby County.  Born February 28, 1932, in Center, he was the son of Dr. Y. W. "Hap" Rogers, Sr. and Excyle Crawford Rogers.  Mr. Rogers served in the U.S. Air Force.  He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brother Robert Neal Rogers.  Survivors include Wife, Joyce Buro Rogers of Center; Sons, Carl Rogers of Center and Edward Rogers of Ft. Worth; Daughter Shelly Rogers of Carrollton; Brother Dr. John C. Rogers of Crystal Beach/Center.
