Shelby County Museum

2:00 p.m.

The newest display at the museum focuses on Shelby County 4-H and its many projects. Pictures, awards, samples of projects, costumes, and other memorabilia has been gathered and is on display now. The Shelby County Horse Project has blessed many families throughout the years of its existence and is a major part of the 4-H display. Come to the open house and view the many interesting exhibits at the Shelby County Museum.

LYNN TATOM
Lynn Tatom, 92, of Pineland, died May 18, 2019 in a local nursing home. Interment was in Plainview Cemetery. He was born May 24, 1926 in the Plainview Community to Dewey and Etta Tatom. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Troy Tatom. Survivors include, Wife, Dorothy Tatom of Pineland; Son, Wade Tatom & wife Julie of Tenaha, Texas; Daughters, Robin Shapley & husband Andy of Pineland, Rhonda Gipson & husband Floyd of Pineland.

MARGARET ANN RENOIS ANDERSON
Margaret Ann Renois Anderson, 73, of Colmesneil, died May 19, 2019, in Colmesneil. Interment was in Neuville Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born July 1, 1945, in Mansfield, Louisiana, to Verdis Edward Renois and Eloise Robison Renois. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Dennis Hooper. Survivors include, Husband, Charles H. Anderson of Colmesneil; Children, Debbie Brenner & husband Robert of Anchorage, Alaska, Charles V. Anderson of Colmesneil; Brother, Ed Renois & wife Marilyn of Converse, Louisiana.

DONALD O’REAR
Donald O’Rear, 86, of Shelbyville, died May 19, 2019, in Shelbyville. Interment was in Strong Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born February 16, 1933, in Huxley, to Alvie H. O’Rear and Cassie Fleming O’Rear. He served his country in the U. S. Army, where he was a member of the I Corps Army Unit and served as Sergeant in the the 204th Field Artillery Battalion during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Kelly O’Rear; Sister-in-law, Pat O’Rear; Brothers-in-law, James Bell, Charles Bell; Mother-in-law, Ruby Bell. Survivors include, Wife: Lois Bell O’Rear of Shelbyville; Daughter, Sheila O’Rear of Shelbyville; Brother, Benny O’Rear of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Sisters-in-law, Margaret Kay of Shelbyville, Sue Bell of Tatum, Jean O’Rear.

Vernon Clinton Williams, 49, of Joaquin, Texas, died May 15, 2019 in Joaquin. Interment was in Jackson Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born on June 10, 1969 in Shreveport, Louisiana to John Clinton Williams and Virginia Swan Williams. He graduated from Joaquin High School. He was preceded in death by, Father, John Clinton Williams; Son, Dalton Wayne Williams. Survivors include, Son, Sterling Clinton Williams & wife Kassi; Mother, Virginia Kay; Sister, Rebekah Lyn Taylor.
