OBITUARIES

JASPER M. PETTIGREW
Jasper M. Pettigrew, 46, of Center, died May 13, 2022, at his local residence.  He was born to the late Willie B. Martin and late Flora Mae Pettigrew in Center, Texas on November 11, 1975.  He was in the Center High School class of 1995.  Survivors include, Brothers, Ala Lee Cartwright of Nacogdoches, James Willie Cartwright of Lufkin; Uncle, Johnnie Pettigrew of Center, Richard Martin and Thomas Martin; Aunts, Ann Marie Pettigrew, Ervin (Ernestine) Pettigrew.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN HILL
Benjamin Franklin “Bo” Hill, 69, of Tenaha, died May 17, 2022, at Nacogdoches Medical Center.  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born to the late Douglas Hill and late Nola Smith Hill in Center, Texas on April 2, 1953.  Survivors include, Son, Benjamin Steadman; Daughters, Valencia Jones of Tyler, Faye (Creon) Potier of Houston, Raquel Horton of Center; Brothers, Charles Hill of Dallas, James Hill of Center, George Hill of Center; Sisters, Patricia Carter of Houston, Horace Lee Hawkins of Martin, Texas.

FRANCES FOWLER FALLIN
Frances Fowler Fallin, 94, died May 23, 2022.  Interment was in Restland Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born to Odie and Maxie Harris Fowler on April 8, 1928 in the Sardis Community.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Sister, Edith; Husband, C. E.  Survivors include, Children and their families, Don Fallin, Debbie, Kelly and Kent (Megan), Mary Chance, Katy and Nathan (Cheyenne), David Fallin, Karen, Avery (Max) Malone, Caleb (Kaylie), Kristen (Tyler) Klien, Kaitlyn Goeke, and Colton (Lee) Goeke, Molly Lemoine, Joseph (Emily), Jade (Jeremy) Cain, Jessica (Rick) Phillips.

JOYCE LYNN OATES FLOURNOY
Joyce Lynn Oates Flournoy, 79, of Shreveport, Louisiana, died May 21, 2022, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Interment was in Rather Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on January 16, 1943, in the Dreka Community to Jessie Earl Oates and Vashti Ross Oates.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Jimmy Earl Oates.  Survivors include, Husband, Guy Flournoy.  Daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Flournoy Rawls & husband Jeff of Shreveport, Louisiana, Kelly Flournoy Allen & husband Clifton of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jacy Flournoy Lightfoot & husband Derrick of Joaquin, Texas; Brother and Sister-in-law, Larry Dale Oates & wife Kathy of Dreka, Texas; Sisters-in-law, Judy Oates of Keatchie, Louisiana, Carolyn Flournoy of Tenaha, Texas, Sarah Lewis & husband John of Huntington, Texas, Rachel Brannon & husband Ronnie of Hallsville, Texas, Dorothy Flournoy of Longview, Texas; Brother-in-law, George Duke of Timpson, Texas.
