November 11, 2018 will be the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. With the help of Mr. Larry Hume, the Shelby County Museum has a display honoring all Shelby County Soldiers involved in the war. We will have an open house from 1:00 P. M. until 4:00 P. M. on June 29, 2018 and invite everyone to come to see this tribute.

Dana Ann Adams Fountain, 55, of Center, died June 3, 2018, in Center. Interment was in Spring Ridge Cemetery, San Augustine County. She was born February 11, 1963, in Center, to George Fane Adams and Effie Bernice Warr Adams. . She was preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Bert Fountain; Brothers, Randy Adams, Dean Adams. Paul Jackson Jr., 81, of Joaquin, died June 3, 2018, in Center. Interment was in Willow Grove Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born May 22, 1937, in Shelbyville, to Paul Allan Jackson Sr. and Annie Ruth Stevens Jackson. He retired from the U.S.Marine Corps.
