BARBARA JO APPELT
Barbara Jo Appelt, 76, of Richmond, Texas, died June 6, 2023 in Richmond.  Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on September 8, 1946 in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She was preceded in death by, Father, Lewis Hailey; Mother, Lucille Wood Pakebusch; Stepfather, Joe Pakebusch; Spouse, Elden Appelt; Daughter, Shara Appelt.  Survivors include, Daughter, Eunice Pena & husband, Anthony; Siblings, Jean Taylor, Arvin Pakebusch & wife, Dawn, Buckshot Pakebusch, Vicki Petru & husband, Mike.

Mae Dell Brannen, 100, died June 03, 2023, in Center, Texas.  She was born September 18, 1922. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Charles Brannen; Son-in-law, Ed Applequist.  Survivors include, Daughter, Brenda Applequist; Grandson, Cary Applequist.

LILLIE MAE THOMPSON TOWNSEND
Lillie Mae Thompson Townsend, 93, of Pasadena, Texas, died May 30, 2023, in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on January 26, 1930, in Shelby County, Texas, to  Kirby Jerome Roe and Myrtice Boyd Roe Ramsey.  She was born and raised in Shelby County. She graduated from Joaquin High School Class of 1948.  She was preceded in death by, Husbands, Harold Thompson, Buddy Townsend; Sons, Harold Thompson Jr., Robert Thompson; Daughter, Nancy Thompson; Parents; Brothers, Jesse James Roe, Charles Phil Roe; Sisters, Lula Mae Hartley, Levada Reeves.  Survivors include, Daughter, Elizabeth McCoy & husband Mike.

MARK ANTHONY EAKIN
Mark Anthony (Tony) Eakin, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 3, 2023 
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Friday, June 9, 2023 at St. Mary of the Epiphany Catholic Mission, 3072 US-59, Timpson, TX 75975 with burial to follow at Corinth Cemetery in Timpson. His family will receive friends 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, June 8, at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel.
