PHILIP WINSTON HENNIGAN, SR.
Phillip Winston Hennigan, Sr., 70, of Center, died June 17, 2016 at his residence. Interment was in Adams Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born April 10, 1946 in Jasper to Joseph Polk and Joye Wynell Phillips Hennigan. He served his country in the U. S. Army. Phillip Hennigan, a former Major League Baseball player, played from 1969-1973 with the Cleveland Indians (Ohio) and the New York Mets. He was a Peace Officer for 40 years – serving with the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department and the Center Police Department. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Gary Hennigan; Son, Scotty Hennigan. Survivors include, Wife, Lynda K. Russell of Center; Sons, Phil Hennigan & wife, Kim of Center, Steven Hennigan of Center; Sister, Connie Hatton & husband, Carl of Woodville; Sister-in-law, Debbie Hennigan of Woodville; Mother-in-law, Edrie Parsons of Center.

Lyndell “Mac” Langston, 79, of Center, died June 13, 2016, in Nacogdoches. He was born December 18, 1936, in Hope, Arkansas to Lenard Mac Langston and Lois Lee Alsobrook Langston.
