THELMA DOGGETT SWANZY
   Thelma Doggett Swanzy, 80, of Shelbyville died June 27, 2004 in Houston.   Burial was in Rather Cemetery, Shelbyville.  She was married to Tom Swanzy and he preceded her in death.   Survivors include brother Billy Ray Doggett; daughter, Lynda Curtis.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
BARBARA GUILBEAU BUCKLEY and ELDRED O'NEAL BUCKLEY
   Barbara Guilbeau Buckley, 65, of Huxley died June 27, 2004, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Burial was in Strong Cemetery.   Born July 7, 1938, in Opelousas, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Adele Baque Guilbeau.  Mrs. Buckley was a homemaker.
   Eldred O'Neal Buckley, 70, of Huxley died June 27, 2004 in Tyler, Texas.   Burial was in Strong Cemetery.   Born August 9, 1933 in Shelby County, he was the son of Curtis and Dorothy Fields Buckley.  Mr. Buckley was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in the Korean conflict and was retired from Texaco Refinery.  Survivors include sons, Mitchell Buckley of Houston and Kenneth Buckley of Nederland; Barbara Buckley's sister, Linda Zeranque of Opelousas.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
JOHNNY TRENT
   Johnny Trent, 41, of Center died June 27, 2004, in Center.  Burial was in Spann's Chapel.  Born June 10, 1963, in Jackson County Oklahoma, he was the son of James Henry and LaMerle Spann Trent.  Mr. Trent was an auto mechanic.  Survivors include his wife, Amy Trent of Center; daughter, Amanda Trent and Stefani Trent, both of Center; father, James Henry Trent of Center; brother James Ray Trent of Center; sisters, Jane Trent and Judy Fenton, both of Center. LILLIAN BRITTAIN
   Lillian Brittain, 87, of Center died June 29, 2004 in Center.  Burial was in White Rock Cemetery.  Born November 22, 1916, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Jim and Izora Holder Stewart.   Mrs. Brittain was a homemaker.  Survivors include sons, Marlon Brittain and Charlie O. Brittain, both of Center.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ELBERT L. JONES
   Elbert L. Jones, 64, of Center died July 1, 2004 in Center.  Burial was in Sardis Cemetery. Born April 3, 1940, in Shelby County, he was the son of Nathan and Blanche Davis Jones.  He was retired from Reading and Bates Offshore Drilling.  Survivors include his wife, Marsha F. Jones of Center; son, Wade Jones of Center; daughters, Tonya Martin of Joaquin and Jill Blackwell of Center; brothers Leon Foster of Nacogdoches and Level Jones, Hardin Jones and R. H. Jones all of Center; sisters, Marie Combs of Milam and Elaine Yarbrough of Tenaha.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
OLIVER GEORGE WILLIAMS
   Oliver George Williams, 51, of Center died June 29, 2004 in Center.   Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery.   Born December 30, 1952, in Center, he was the son of G.B. and Lola Mae Robins Williams.  Mr. Williams was a self-employed carpenter.  Survivors include his wife Beverly Williams of Ardmore, Oklahoma; stepfather, Lee Barnfield of Center; daughter, Lavrisa McGuffin of Sulphur; son, David Oliver Williams of Ardmore, Oklahoma; sister, Glenda Simmons of Nacogdoches and Elaine Belanger of Center; brother, G.B. Williams, Jr., of San Augustine; half-brother, Joel Marty of Center; sisters, Mary Boren of Dallas and Helen Ratcliff of Fort Worth; stepbrother, Albert Barnfield of Conroe.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
FAYE ELIZABETH PATE
   Faye Elizabeth Pate, 82, of Shelbyville died June 30, 2004, in Center.   Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.   Born February 10, 1922, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Hardy and Gersie Humphries Schillings.  Mrs. Pate was and homemaker and married to Robert S. Pate and he preceded her in death.  Survivors include son, Barry Pate of Center; daughters, Alice Pate of Shelbyville and Kay Watson of Center; sister, Gene Dubose of Houston.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home
JOEL KOONCE
   Joel Koonce, 88, of Longview died June 28, 2004 in Longview.  Burial was in Old Union Cemetery, Shelby County.    born August 11, 1915, in Shelby County, he was the son of Joel and Lizzie Vail Koonce.  Mr. Koonce served in WWII in the U.S. Army.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Sayers; brothers, Robie Koonce and B.d. Koonce; sisters, Lola Gary and Joanita Sharpton.  Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Powell of Hallsville and Janet Woods of Gladewater; sister, Ava Parrish of Tenaha.  Hawthorn Funeral Home.
BOBIA CARTWRIGHT
   Bobia Pilot Cartwright, 92, died June 21, 2004.  Burial was in Brittain Creek Cemetery. Born April 20, 1912, in the East Hamilton Community, she was the daughter of Hector Pilot and Susanne Jackson Pilot.  Mrs. Cartwright was preceded in death by her husband Allen Cartwright; children, Johnny Paul Cartwright, Jell Cartwright, James Cartwright, Debra Cartwright and Bobia Jean Polley.  Survivors include daughters, Durusha Thomas of Center and Iva Nell Johnson of Shelbyville; sons, Walter Cartwright and Willie Cartwright, both of Center and Jack Cartwright of Shelbyville.  Hicks Mortuary.
