Diane Henderson, 62, of Tenaha, died June 24, 2021, at Christos Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.  Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Tenaha, Texas.  Survivors include, Children, Chregg (Melissa) Henderson of Longview, Kennis (Jalanie) Henderson of Cushing, Jared Thomas of Dallas, Tierria Henderson of Garland; Brothers, Amos (Mary) Henderson of Houston, Jesse (Nadia) Henderson of Center, Curtis Henderson of Tenaha.
Services are entrusted to Community Funeral Home, Center, Texas.

GLENDA ANN GOINGS LUTZ
Glenda Ann Goings Lutz, 62, of Center, Texas, died June 30 ,2021. She was born on August 9, 1958, to W. J. Goings and Vernell Goings.

CARRIE SHEPHERD HORTON
Carrie Shepherd Horton, 86, died June 29, 2021.  Interment was in Mt. Gillion Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on June 11, 1935 to Lemmer Anderson and Lawrence Shepherd. She attended school in Tenaha, Texas.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Milton Horton Sr.; Parents; Children, Allen Ray, Darren, Lawrence Horton; A host of sisters and brothers.  Survivors include, Sister, Vinnie Joyce Caraway; Daughters, Peggie Brown of Timpson, Texas, Betty Mitchell (Johnny) of Timpson, Texas, Callie Horton of Timpson, Texas, Donna Fletcher (Alford) of Timpson, Texas; Sons, Milton Horton Jr. (Earsie) of Huxley, Ronnie Horton (Sherina) of Lufkin; Special son, Robert Shepherd of Nacogdoches.

GWENDOLYN JENNINGS
Gwendolyn “Joyce” Jennings, 71, of Center, died July 1, 2021, at CHI St Luke in The Woodlands, Texas.  Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Center, Texas.  She was born October 06, 1949, in Center, Texas to Beulah Jennings and Frankie Hughes Jennings.  She graduated from C.H. Daniels in 1968. Survivors include, Son, Kipp D. (Matreasa) Jennings of Pensacola, Florida; Longtime Companion, Roland Jacobs.

EVELYN BRIGHT HUGHES
Evelyn Bright Hughes, 96, of Center, died July 4, 2021, in Center.  Interment was in Campti Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born in the Campti Community to Price and Vera Forsyth Bright on January 23, 1925. She attended Campti School through 8th grade and then Shelbyville High School graduating in 1942.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Travis Hughes; Parents; Sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Sonny Jameson; Son-in-law, Mac Carter.  Survivors include, Children, Mary Culver & husband Jim, Mavis Carter, Martha Goodwyn & husband James.

Doris C. Wilson, 84, of Center, Texas, died July 3 ,2021, in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Interment was in Mt. VIRGIE EILEEN COLLINS POWELL

Virgie Eileen Collins Powell, 85, died May 25, 2021.  She was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Lois and Juanita Collins on March 3, 1937. Eileen lived most of her life in Port Arthur, Texas and moved to Hallsville, Texas in 2017 following Hurricane Harvey.  She was preceded in death by her husband Wright Patman Powell.  Survivors include, Son, Charles Powell and wife Phyllis Powell; Daughter, Patricia Powell along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, and the family will have a private celebration of Eileen’s life.
