The Netherly Family Ninth Reunion will be held Friday, July 25, Saturday, July 26 and Sunday July 27, 2003 at the Community Center, 423 San Angustine St., Center, Texas.  Friday, July 25th from 6:00pm - 7:15pm will be family fellowship/get acquainted; 7:30pm - 8:45pm dinner (fish fry); 9:15pm - 10:00pm will be the Netherly Family Feud game.   Saturday, July 26th from 11:00am - 12:30pm family business meeting; 12:35pm - 3:00pm lunch; games will begin at 1:45pm - 3:30pm.   Saturday Evening - 7:00pm - 10:30pm - modeling, talent show and dinner.   Sunday, July 27, 2003 - 8:00am -  9:00am church services "Todd Springs Baptist Church".    If you should have questions regarding the above information, please contact me (Ella Shaw) email eshaw@dcccd.edu

The Tennessee Community will have their homecoming July 20th.  They will have their annual gospel singing on Saturday.   Sunday will be lunch on the outside tables of the Presbyterian Church.  If you have family ties of the Tennessee Community or just come to visit and join in.  We will miss our own Sonny Tippett who was always been in charge of the music.

PEGGY R. DAW
   Peggy R. Daw, 81, of Logansport, Louisiana died July 10, 2003. Burial was in Oaklawm Memorial Park.  Born January 30, 1922, in Logansport, she was the daughter of J.D. and Omega Parker Roberts.  Ms. Daw is survived by son, Johnny Mack Daw of Joaquin; daughters, Joyce Daw Carter of Elgin, Jimmie Kay Thomas of Shreveport, Louisiana and Jaye Daw Robinson of Logansport; brother Upton Roberts of Logansport, Louisiana  Mangum Funeral Home
MARIE STANLEY
   Marie Stanley, 89, of Center died July 12, 2003 in Center. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Born July 25, 1913 in Snyder, she was the daughter of Elisha Mac and Arbell Jordan Stanley.   Ms. Stanley was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Stanley and son Elton Stanley.  Survivors include on Darence Stanley of Center; daughter, Joyce Hollis Houston; sister, Burnell Chapman of Dallas.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.

   Michael Ryan Strong, Infant, died July 13, 2003 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in Strong Cemetery. Born July 8, 2003 is was the son of Bobby, Jr. and Candice Hargraves Strong of Nacogdoches.  He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Candice Strong; sister, Kaitlynn Strong of Nacogdoches; grandparents, Bobby and Rebecca Strong of Nacogdoches and Tillman and Eva Graves of San Augustine.   Watson & Sons Funeral Home
MATILDA ALLEN
   Matilda Allen, 91, died July 11, 2003 in Center. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.  Born February 10, 1912 in Center, she was the daughter of Edmon and Rose Pilot.  Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, Edmon and Pilot; sister, Ida Mae Philyaw and brothers, L.C. and Ruther Pilot.  She is survived by daughters, Cora Sue Wallace of Nacogdoches, LaMerle Allen and Bobbye Bowman, both of Tyler; Sons, James Allen of Tyler.  Hicks Mortuary.  
LESTER W. MCSWAIN
   Lester W. McSwain, 82, died July 15, 2003.  Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Born December 12, 1920, he was the son of Della and Lonnie McSwain.  Mr. McSwain was preceded in death by his parents, Della and Lonnie McSwain; sister, Lorene and son Michael.  He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter.
