OBITUARIES
JUDGE JOHN E. TOMLIN
Judge John E. Tomlin, 65, of Center,died July 21, 2009 at his home. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center. He was born November 23, 1943 in Center to Dewey Edward Tomlin and Nera Edna Ford Tomlin. Judge Tomlin has served as Shelby County Judge since January 1, 2007. He was a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, The Historical Society & The Historical Commission. Judge Tomlin had also served as a school board member for Center ISD for over 10 years. He was preceded in death by, Parents, Dewey and Nera Tomlin; Sister, Betty Tomlin Craven; Brother, Jarrell Tomlin. Survivors include, Wife, Ann Tomlin of Center; Daughters, Angie & husband Eric Wilkins of Abilene, Suzanne Tomlin of Austin; Brother, Newton Tomlin & wife Judy of Gladewater.

SHIRLEY BOOTH MIDDLETON
Shirley Booth Middleton, age 88, of Bedford, formerly of Center, died July 20th in Bedford. Curial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center. She was born November 29, 1920, in Center, to Verner Booth and Bess Hill Booth. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Martin Middleton. Survivors include, Sons, Mike Middleton & wife Brenda of Ft. Worth, Verner Wayne Middleton of San Antonio; Daughter, Alice Joy Canales & husband Homero of Alice; Brother, W.V. "Billy" Booth, Jr. & wife Betty of San Antonio.

JUDITH GRABOWSKI
Judith Grabowski, 68, of Timpson died July 17, 2009 at her residence. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born in Hawthorne, CA on May 9, 1941, to Harry and Helen Pittenger Carolus. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Son, Robert Joe Mericle. Survivors include, Husband, Sam Grabowski; Daughter, Tressa Fulmer of Houston, TX.

Peter B. Sumstine, 90, of Center, died July 20, 2009 in Center. Burial will be in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born April 18, 1919 in Boone, Iowa to Peter B. and Eunica Smith Sumstine. He served in US Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife, Verlene Hendricks Sumstine; Daughter, Cynthia Gwen Sumstine; 4 Brothers; 1 Sister. Survivors include, Grandson,
Bryan Sumstine of Center; Great Grandchildren, Cyndi, Caty, Joe, & Mason Sumstine of Center.

ONETIA FAYE BEWLEY SEGLER
Onetia Faye Bewley Segler, 79, of Joaquin died July 18, 2009 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born December 1, 1929 in Gainesville, Texas to T.L. Bewley and Novilla Mitchell Bewley. She was preceded in death by, Husband, James Duke Segler. Survivors include, Son, Bud Love, Jr. of Whitesboro; Daughter, Bee DeCordova & husband Bryan of Austin;
Stepson, Douglas Segler & wife Jackie of Seguin; Sisters, Delores Hendrix & husband Rex of Mt. Vernon, Lynda Evans & husband L.D. of Coppell.
