Mrs. Johnnie Brown Harvey, 82, of Center, died July 24, 2009 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born December 29, 1926 in the Village of Mangham, Louisiana to Kelly & Myrtle Pitman Brown. She is preceded in death by, Mother, Myrtle Pitman Brown; Brother, Jimmy Brown. Survivors include, Children, Richard Brown of Cuero, Texas, Douglas & Chris Sims of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Ronald & Debbie Hill of Joaquin, Deborah Jones of Center, Laurajo Harvey Knox of Cuero, Texas, Caleb Harvey, Jr. & wife, Paula of Center, Mark & Sandra Harvey of Center, Rodney Harvey; Sisters, Nancy Hardin of Cuero, Texas, Voncil Langford of Corpus Christi.

ELTON MC KINZIE
Elton McKinzie, 82, died July 24, 2009 in Lufkin. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Shelby County, Texas, to Nettie Dean and William McKinzie. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include, Wife, Margie McKinzie of San Augustine; Daughter, Teresa McKinzie Smith & husband Glenn of Cypress, Texas.

Lillie Lee Forbis, "Big Momma", 104, died July 26, 2009. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born April 16, 1905 in Ironosa, San Augustine County, Texas. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Floyd Forbis. Survivors include, Son, James D. Forbis & wife Gerrie; Daughters, Helen Broussard, Ruth Swanzy.

Verna Maudine Holder Evans, 81, of Diboll, died July 23, 2009 at her home. Burial was in McClelland Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born December 6, 1927 in Shelby County to Lewis Holder and Lela Brady Holder. She was preceded in death by, Husband, Woodrow W. Evans; Sisters, Louise Wilburn, Thelma Muckleroy. Survivors include, Daughter, Norma Moore of Diboll; Son, Joe Evans of Diboll.
