GEORGE NAYLOR BOWERS, SR.
George Naylor Bowers, Sr., 91, of Tenaha, died August 2, 2020, in Tenaha. Interment was in Restland Cemetery, Tenaha, Texas.  He was born August 16, 1928, in Tenaha,  to Jesse Bowers and Marietta Burough Bowers. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and the U. S. Army, during which time he was awarded a Bronze Star.  He served as Mayor of Tenaha for 56 years.  He was preceded in death by, Wife, Laura Bowers; Mother, Marietta Bowers; Father, Jesse Bowers.  Survivors include, Children, George N.
