Keith Powdrill, 60, died  August 1, 2021 at his daughter’s home.  He was cremated. He was born in San Antonio, Texas.  He was preceded in death by, Parents, Howell Lee Powdrill and Geraldine (Gerry) Lovelady Powdrill.  Survivors include, Daughters, Kara Dannette Powdrill, Kylie Lynn Powdrill of Timpson, Texas; Sister, Melody Dannette Powdrill of Shreveport, Louisiana.

CHRISTOPHER LEE MAYHORN
Christopher Lee Mayhorn, 42, of Hazen, Arkansas, died August 5, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  His wishes were to be cremated.  He was born November 26, 1978, in Laurel, Mississippi, to Patrick Gandy and Donna Reuther Gandy.  He was preceded in death by, Mother, Donna Voyles; Father, Randy Mayhorn; Biological father, Patrick Gandy; Sisters, Carolyn Perry, Barbara Hodge.  Survivors include, Wife, Melissa Mayhorn of Hazen, Arkansas; Children, David Mayhorn of Valdosta, Georgia, Courtney Mayhorn of Florida, Renee Mayhorn of Florida, Mathew Hughes of Joaquin, Leeanna Hughes of Carthage; Texas Parents, Penny and Wayne Jones; Brothers, Patrick Mayhorn of Hazard, Kentucky, Nathan Jones & fiancé, Rachel Scriver, of Center; Sisters, Janell Speagle of Mississippi, Kylee Moore & husband Cheyenne of Center.

Elbert D. Bailey, 89, of Joaquin, died August 7, 2021, in Joaquin.  Interment was in Neuville Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born April 2, 1932, in Shelby County, to  Drew H. GARY EDWIN WINFREE

Gary Edwin Winfree, 70, died August 6, 2021, in San Marcos, Texas.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park, Nacogdoches, Texas.  He was born on September 17, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Otis Winfree II and Mozelle Black Winfree. Gary grew up in Tenaha where he graduated from high school and spent his early childhood years. He was preceded in death by, Father, Otis Winfree II; Mother, Mozelle Black Winfree; Brother, Otis Kenton Winfree III; Step-son, Richard Lyles.  Survivors include, Wife, Teri Winfree; Daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Winfree; Step-daughter, Tracy Board & husband, Michael; Daughter-in-law, Danielle Lyles; Brother, Jimmy Hamilton Winfree.


RALPH AARON MILLER
Ralph Aaron Miller, 61, of Timpson, Texas, died August 5, 2021 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on July 23, 1960 in Pontiac, Michigan, to Delmar Ralph and Darlene June (Carter) Miller.  He served his country in the U. S. Army.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include, Wife, Eleanor (Gray) Miller; Sons, Colt Miller & wife, Brittany, Camrron Miller & wife, Rachal, Chad Smidt & wife, Leigh; Daughters, Stacy Basshan & husband, Michael, Ricci Finch & husband, Steve Cendra Miller, Jackquelynn Miller; Brother, Jon Miller; Sister, Melanie Alexander.

MICHAEL McGHEN
Michael McGhen, 73, of Center, died August 10, 2021, in Center.  Interment was in New Hope Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born October 10, 1947, in Timpson, to  Paul Charles McGhen and Annie Lavern Permenter McGhen.  He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Son, Clay McGhen; Daughter, Tina McGhen; Brothers, Paul McGhen, Arthur McGhen.  Survivors include, Wife, Geraldine McGhen; Son, Leonard “Mike” McGhen & wife Melissa McGhen.

TIMOTHY LANE PATE
Timothy Lane Pate, 60, of Timpson, Texas, died August 10, 2021, in Timpson, Texas.  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on August 27, 1960 in Center, Texas, to Arvel and Dorothy Faye (Hendricks) Pate.  He graduated from Timpson High School in 1978.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Michael Pate; Sister, Elaine Parker.  Survivors include, Wife, Cheryl Pate; Daughter, Chelsea Pate Richerson & husband, Justin; Brothers, David Pate & wife, Debra, Danny Pate & wife, Sue, Jeff Pate & wife, Cindy; Sisters, Arlene Horton & husband, Hal, Pam Faussett & husband, Jimbo, Susan Naron.

VELMA HARPER JACKSON
Velma Harper Jackson, 76, of Center, died July 30, 2021. Interment was in Westview Cemetery, Center, Texas.  She was born August 12, 1944, to WC and Earlie Harper.  She graduated from Center High School.  She was preceded in death by, Parents; Sisters, Betty Ruth Lathan, Thelma Rae Ratcliff; Brother R.C. Harper.  Survivors include, Sisters, Shirley Rushing, Linda Harper; Children, Bobby Harper, Sandra Wynn (James), Victor Jordan (Christiana), Shelly Washington Leonard, Tonja Gardner Singleton (Willie), Kelby Gardner.
Services are entrusted to McCoy and Harrison Funeral Home, Houston, Texas and Community Funeral Home in Center, Texas.

LEON SEARCY
Leon Searcy, 89, of Pasadena, Texas, died August 5, 2021 in Pasadena Texas.  Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Center, Texas. He was born on October 14, 1931, in Geneva County Alabama to Isom Byrd Searcy and Rena Mae Mullen Searcy. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean War.   He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother and Sisters.  Survivors include, Wife, Giovanna Mooney Searcy; Son, James L. Searcy, Jr.; Daughter-in-law, Linda Searcy.
