   Thomas T. Stracener, 64, of San Augustine died August 4, 2008 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Old Salem Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born September 21, 1943, to Thomas Bradford Stracener and Mary Lucille Stracener.  Preceded in death by Sisters, Linda and Patricia; Son, Brad.  Survivors include, Wife, Wynema Jean Consford Stracener of San Augustine; Daughter, Tommie Jean "T.J." Hopson of Lufkin; Son, Terry W. Stracener of Stella, Mo; Sister, Irene Roberts of Gilmer.

    Ken R. Headrick, 53, of Longstreet, Louisiana, died August 11, 2008, in Carthage. Burial was in Lone Cedar Cemetery in Shelby County. He was born September 10, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to H.C. Headrick and Blanche Moncrief Headrick. Preceded in death by Father, H. C. Headrick; Sister, Barbara Dean Headrick.     Virginia Bogard Forsyth, 100, of Tenaha, died August 7, 2008 in Center. Burial was in Enterprise Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born November 4, 1907 in Timpson to Thomas and Victoria Jefferson. Preceded in death by, First Husband, Cornelius Bogard, Second Husband, Melvin Forsyth; Son, Thomas Neil Bogard.     Betty Jean Byers, 80, of Joaquin, died August 6, 2008 in Center. Burial was in Truitt Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born January 2, 1928 in Brownville to Royal Allen Linn and Alda Hazel Cornelious Linn. Preceded in death by, Husband, Jimmie Byars; Brother, Royal Allen “Buddy” Linn and Son, Jimmie Byars, Jr. Survivors include, Daughters, Brenda Richard of Joaquin and Nancy Henderson of Eustace.

    Laura Mae (Lilly) Hairgrove, 92, of Timpson, Texas died August 10, 2008. Burial was in Buena Vista Cemetery, Shelby County. Born in Nacogdoches County, Texas on December 17, 1915 to Ellis and Dolly Campbell Lilly. Preceded in death by, Parents; Husband, Leon Hairgrove; Brothers, Lacy Lilly, Adlee Lilly and E. H.
