ELMA SWINDALL Elma Swindall, 101, of Center, died August 14, 2016 at Lakeside Village Assisted Living Center, Center, Texas. Interment will be in McWilliams Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born November 9, 1914 to Mahalia Swindall. Ms Elma was employed as a teacher for 42 years, beginning with the Webb Rural School and then later with C. H. Daniels and Center Elementary. She was preceded in death by, Mother, Mahalia Swindall; Sister, Selma Swindall McClelland. Survivors include, a host of too many cousins to number, including Anita Lister Gipson-Williams (Jackie) and Doris Annette Harris of Center, Retha Swindle of Baytown and Annie Nell Crockett of Timpson.
