OBITUARIES
OLAND PARKER
Oland Parker, 68, of El Paso formerly Center, died August 19, 2009 in El Paso, Texas. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Center, Texas. He was born August 14, 1941 in Center to Charles Atlas and Jennie Ruth McCoy Parker. Oland left Center to serve in the US Army in January 1959. He served in Europe and in Vietnam, he was transportation officer in the General Services Administration, and worked in the Federal Prison System. His honors include the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal w/60 Device. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Charles Atlas and Ruth Parker. Survivors include, One Son; One Grandson.

GEORGE C. ETHEREDGE, SR.
George C. Etheredge Sr., 68, died August 20, 2009 in Keithville, La. Burial was in Smith Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas. He was born on January 17, 1941 in Shreveport, LA. to George and Eunice Laverne Etheredge. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Clyde E. Etheredge. Survivors include, Wife, Glenda Paxton Etheredge; Sons, Joseph Etheredge & wife, Sandy, George Etheredge, Jr. & wife, Cheryl, Johnny Etheredge & wife, Darlene; Daughters, Becky Flores & husband, Barry, Eunice Seaton & husband, Jacob; Brothers, Jimmy Etheredge, Jerry Etheredge, Roy Etheredge; Sisters, Joyce Risinger, Sophie Howard.

Debra Kay Posey Reeves, 52, of Carthage, died August 20, 2009 in Tyler. Burial was in Truitt Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born March 7, 1957 in Houston to Nathan F. Posey and Betty Delores Ross Posey. She was preceded in death by, Mother, Betty Posey; Brother, Frank Posey. Survivors include, Sons, Kevin Reeves & wife Dianna of Carthage, Michael Reeves & wife Tasha of Carthage; Daughter, Karen Reeves of Carthage; Father, Nathan Posey of Logansport, Louisiana; Brother, Bo Posey & wife Sheila of Joaquin; Sister, Betty Ann Posey of Carthage.

DONALD VANCE MC LEAN
Donald Vance McLean, 72, of Center, died August 22, 2009 in Nacogdoches. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Center. Mr. McLean was born March 7, 1937 in Guadalupe County to Roy Vance McLean and Rachael Lakey McLean. He was preceded in death by his parents. JOSEPHINE HAIRGROVE VICKERY
Josephine Hairgrove Vickery, 90, of Tenaha, died August 23, 2009 at her residence. Burial was in Ramah Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born April 27, 1919 in Tenaha to Aurora Hairgrove and Jodie Duke Hairgrove. She was preceded in death by, Husband, David Lawrence Vickery; Son, David Lawrence Vickery, Jr.; Brothers, Wilburn Hairgove, Willie Hairgrove, Otto Hairgrove; Sisters, Bernice Brown, Ima Covington, Mamie Howard, Maurine Cross.
