The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting September 19, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Colleen Doggett. She will speak to us about the Early Century Ferry Landings on the Sabine River. Everyone is invited to attend.

Billie R. “Reggie” Warren, 67, of Queen City, Texas, died August 29, 2017 in Queen City, Texas. Interment was in Old Home Cemetery, Shelby County. He was born December 25, 1949, in Mexia, Texas, to Billie L. Warren and June M. Little Warren. He was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Ricky Warren. Survivors include, Wife, Debora A. A. “Nig” Tomlin and Maxine Anthony Tomlin. He graduated from Center High School. Mr. Tomlin served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents.
