     McDonald Family Reunion (descendants of Luther & Coren [SNIDER] McDonald).  Everyone is welcome!  Sat., October 7, 2006.  10:30 a.m.  At Boles Field--Shelbyville, TX.  We will also be celebrating Howard McDonald's 80th birthday.

        The annual Bates Family Reunion will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Jackson Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Joaquin, TX.  Friends and relatives of the late Larkin and Tempie Bates are invited to attend.   The doors will be opened at 10:30.  A covered dish lunch will be spread at 12:00.   For further information please contact Tommie Williams, 903-984-9053.

        The annual Brady School Reunion will be held October 7, 2006 at Center Community House, in front of Mangum Funeral Home from 9AM to ?. We're looking forward to seeing Old School Chums, Relatives, neighbors and friends.  Does anyone have a picture of the Brady Church? In Logansport -go 1 block past the first traffic light.  Turn Left on the Marshall Road - go 5 Miles. The marker is on the right side of road.  All roads are paved.

Obituaries
CHARLIE POLK SMITH
    Charlie Polk Smith, 80, of Pearland formerly of Center died September 7, 2006 in League City.  Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born October 26, 1925, in Center, she was the daughter of Charles Polk and Margaret Price Smith.  Ms. Smith was a medical technician.  Survivors include sister, Martha Frances Hagler of Center.  Mangum Funeral Home.
M. A. WHITTLESEY, JR.
    M. A.Whittlesey, Jr., 49, of Ponder died September 1, 2006 in Center.  Cremation was requested.  Born November 5, 1956, in Center, he was the son of M. A. and Dorothy Tidwell Whittlesey.  Mr. Whittlesey was in Construction.  He was preceded in death by his Parents; brother, Ricky Whittlesey and sister, Marjorie Cunningham. Survivors include his wife, dianne Couturier of Keller; son, Skyler Whittlesey of Seguin.  Mangu Funeral Home.
EDNA E. MCCLELLAND GARRETT
    Edna E. McClelland Garrrett, 87, died September 9, 2006.  Burial was in Rather Cemetery.  Survivors include daughters, Stephania Garrett Preston and Agnes Jean Garrett Johnson, both of Center; sisters, Billie Provost of Milam and Eula Metcalf of Nacogdoches.  Hicks Mortuary
