Looking for information on my Granny's family. Looking for info on the children of Edward Marshall Hughes and Courtney Prudence Billingsley, children: Edward Hughes, Richard Gibson Hughes, Winney E. Hughes, William Henry Hughes, Mollie J. Hughes, Robert Young Hughes, Nina A. Hughes, and Louvinda Ann Mitchell, Children: Buford Albert Hughes, Erma Hughes, Laura Hughes, Paul W. Hughes and his twin, Silas N. Hughes, Emmett M. Hughes, Arvis Hughes, F. M. Hughes and Mildred V. BILLIE BOLES---Billie Boles, 83, of Center died September 29, 2002 in Center.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born October 16, 1918, in Shelby County, he was the son of Vessie and Gladys Warren Boles.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Boles of Center; sons John Boles of Houston, Jim Boles of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Ken Boles of Center; daughter, Mary Beth Cassell of Center; sister, Peggy Verbosky of Houston.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
JEANNE HUNTON---Jeanne Hunton, 63, of Center died September 19, 2002 in Green Acres Home.  Burial was in  St. John Cemetery.   Ms. Hunton was born February 17, 1939 in Butler, Illinois.  Survivors include a daughter, Corine Winn of Austin.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
LEONARD M. THOMPSON---Leonard Thompson, 63, of Tenaha died September 22, 2002.  Burial was in Union Cemetery.  Born August 14, 1939, in Smiley, he was the son of Guy Cecil and Edna Patteson Thompson.  Survivors include his mother, Edna Thompson of Gonzales; wife, Judy Thompson of Tenaha; son, Steve Thompson of San Augustine; daughter, Susan Livingston of Center; sister, Mary Wilson of Duncanville.  Mangum Funeral Home.
RICHARD R. LOCKE---Richard Locke, 78, of the Old Center Community died September 21, 2002 in East Texas Medical Center.  Burial was in Oaklawm Memorial Park.  Mr. Locke was born May 23, 1924.  Survivors include his wife, Geneva Locke of Old Center Community; sons, R.W. Locke of Houston and C.L. Locke of Old Center; stepchildren, Robert Rowe, Patty Twomey and Randy Rowe, all of Old Center and Peggy Allison of Carthage; sister, Gracie Lee Brown of Lone Star; brother, Vernon Lee Locke of Orange.  Mangum Funeral Home.
LUEBRIDA BELL---Luebirda Bell, 72, died September 11, 2002. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.  Born February 12, 1930, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Pencen and Queen Lathan.  Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Bell; sons, George Lathan and Robert Bell; father, Pencen Lathan; brothers, Iral Lathan and Willie Lathan.  Survivors include her mother, Queen Lathan; sons, James Bell, Jerry Bell and Willie Lathan; daughter, Idell Bell; sister, Florence Terrell.  Hicks Mortuary.
CHARLENE PATTON BRYANT---Charlene Bryant, 67, died September 18, 2002.   Burial was in Westview Cemetery.  Born February 19, 1935, in Center, she was the daughter of Wyatt and Jennie V. Patton.   Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her father, Wyatt Patton, Sr; brother, Wyatt Patton, Jr. and sister, Elma Richards.   She is survived by her husband Elotris Bryant; children Harry Stansberry and Brandi Bell of Center; mother, Jennie V. Patton; sisters, Katherine Joyce of Morton, Jennie Ruth Grisby of Morton, Hazel Lee Bolton of Center, Mary Jane Johnson of Morton, Verlene Moore of Center, Ernestine Evans of Morton and Christobel Harper of Center; brothers, I.D. Patton, John D. Patton, Y.T. Patton, both of Morton, J.B. Patton of Houston, Charlton T. Patton of Houston.  Hicks Mortuary.
MARVA ELLA GARDNER---Marva Gardner, 48, died September 18, 2002.  Burial was in St. John Cemetery.  Ms. Gardner was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Gardner.  Born February 8, 1954, in Center, she was the daughter of Maurice and Mary Ella Gardner.  She is survived by he mother, Mary Ella Gardner; brothers, Rev. Billy Gardner of Lufkin, Jerry Gardner of Rhome, Texas, Thomas Aaron Gardner of Houston, Frederick Eugene Gardner of Center; sisters, Ester Singleton of Longview, Myrtis McClelland of Center and Branda Jackson of Center.  Hicks Mortuary.
MARY ELAINE SIGLER FRANKE---Mary Elaine Franke, 59, of Clever Creek Community died September 24, 2002 in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Burial was  in Clever Creek Cemetery.   Born October 22, 1934, she was the daughter of Nathaniel and Ola Gay Howard Sigler.   Survivors include her husband, James Franke of Clever Creek; daughters, Amanda Elaine Eaves of Seabrook and Cindy Lin Hauver of Vidor; brothers, Charles Sigler of Joaquin, Robert Sigler of Clever Creek, Larry Sigler of Houston, James Sigler of Center, Billy Sigler and Jeff Sigler; sisters, Edna Kennon and JoAnn Andrews, both of Center, Johnnie Whitton of Longview, Wanda Rychlik and Francis Nettles, both of Houston. RALPH DONALD GIBBONS---Ralph Gibbons, 83, of Timpson, died September 25, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Timpson.  Born April 15 1919 in Roy, New Mexico, he was the son of H.L. and Lula Howell Gibbons.  Survivors include his wife, Dorlene Crump Gibbons of Timpson; son, Donald Gibbons of Springtown; daughter, Carolyn Renick of Timpson.  Taylor Funeral Home.
BETTY JO BELLMYER---Betty Jo Bellmyer, 78,   of Center died September 26, 2002 in Holiday Nursing Home.  Burial was in Newburn Cemetery.  Born July 19, 1924, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of J.B. and Cora lee Graham.  Survivors include her husband, T. G. Bellmyer of Center; daughter Sharon Bartee of Houston; son, Thomas Gerald Bellmyer, Jr. of Center; sister, Ruth Sharpton of McAllen.  Mangum Funeral Home.
