OBITUARIES

JOAN ANDERSON
Joan Anderson, 95, of Tenaha, Texas, died Sept. 23, 2023, in Tyler.  Interment was in Restland Cemetery, Shelby County.  She was born on March 4, 1928, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Aubrey Branch “Cub” and Hazel Snider Gilpin.  She was preceded in death by, Husband, Marshall Lee Anderson; Daughter, Marsha Sue Anderson; Sister, Sue Vickery.  Survivors include, Sons, David Anderson & wife Elizabeth,
Bob Anderson & wife Karen, Mark Anderson & wife Sandy.

SHANE CURTIS JORDAN
Shane Curtis Jordan, 40, died September 24, 2023, at his home in Fort Worth, Texas.  Interment will be in White Rock Cemetery, Shelby County.  He was born on June 27, 1983, to parents Bobby Jewel Jordan and Doris Yvonne Soape in Shreveport, Louisiana.  He graduated from Center High School.  Survivors include, Mother, Doris Yvonne (Soape) Bennett; Father, Bobby Jewel Jordan; Daughters, Ryleigh Alford, Kaitlyn (Katie) Allums; Son, Dusty Allums; Sisters, Amanda Campaniello & husband, Jason, Ashley Warren & husband, Chris; Brothers, Howard Bennett IV & wife, Sarah, Charles Bennett & wife, Ashley, Justin Jordan.

HOMER BAKER
Homer “Dwayne” Baker, 64, of Cabot, Arkansas, died September 25, 2023, at his home.  He was born on March 7, 1959 in Carthage, Texas.  He was preceded in death by, Father, Robert Hershel Baker; Mother, Winnie Mae Baker; Brother, Robert Glenn Baker.  Survivors include, Wife, Kimberley Baker; Children, Jennifer McCann (Steven) of Joaquin, Natalie Hughes (Ron), Emily Hipp (Tyler), Zach Parker; Sister, Norma Henneke; Mother-in-law, Mary Holt; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Erik and Susan Resendez.

ROLAN ALEX SIMMONS
Rolan Alex Simmons, 82, of Nacogdoches, Texas, died September 26, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas.  Interment will be in Knighton Chapel Cemetery, Lewisville, Arkansas.  \He was born on May 25, 1941, in Lewisville, Arkansas, to Homer V. Simmons and Opal (Clark) Simmons.  He was preceded in death by, Parents; Wife and mother of his children, Mary Helen Rogers Simmons; Wife, Betty Adams; Sister, Frances Hughes.  Survivors include, Son, Randy Simmons; Daughter, Bobbie Sue Scates & husband Michael.
