She was born on November 23, 1935, in Timpson to Emmitt Townes and Mrs. Mary Lou Ivy Townes. She was preceded in death by, Parents; Brother, Charles Townes. Survivors include, Husband, Ray Miller of Tenaha; Daughters, Sheri Basham & husband, Jessie of Tenaha, Sandra Chapman of Nacogdoches.
