The second reunion of the descendants of William and Mary Hendrick is scheduled for October 19, 2002 at the American Legion Hall in Center, TX. BETTY JEAN GARNER---Betty Jean Garner, 78, of Joaquin died October 5, 2002 at her residence.  Burial was in New Mexico.  Born June 25, 1924 in Englewood, Kansas, she was the daughter of George and Maude Drank Edmission.   Survivors include daughter, Alta Jean Gary of Joaquin.
MARY WHYTE---Mary Whyte, 64, of Center died October 5, 2002 in Shelby Regional Medical Center.  The family elected cremation.  Born September 22, 1938 in Denton County, she was the daughter of Milton and Doris Paddock Bertrand.  Survivors include daughters, Katherine McGee of Joaquin and Suzanne Walls of Dallas; son, Robert Bryson of Dallas; brother, Milton Bertrand, Jr. of Bastrop.   Mangum Funeral Home.
DOROTHY FAYRENE JONES---Dorothy Jones, 72, of Center died October 5, 2002 in Pine Grove Nursing Home.  Burial was in Ramah Cemetery.  Born April 11, 1930, in Tenaha, she was the daughter of Henry Thomas and Georgie Ritnour Conway.  Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, William A. Jones of Center; sons, Asia Lawthorn of Conroe, Thomas Jones of Farmersville and William T. Jones of Center; daughter, Margie Trim of Shelbyville; stepson, Alvin Jones of Monroe, Louisiana; stepdaughters, Earline Carver of Monroe, and Ruth Ivey of West Monroe; brother, Lavell Conway of Arlington; sister, Eva Curry of Garrison.  Mangum Funeral Homes.
JOHN ARTHUR COX---John Arthur Cox, 76, of Patroon Community died October 5, 2002 in Center.  The family elected cremation.  Born August 28, 1926, in New Mexico, he was the son of Charles and Marie McLean Cox.   Survivors include his wife, Diane Cox of Patroon; stepchildren, Roland H. Heath of North Carolina, Carolyn Louise Broomfield of West Virginia, Gerald Lee Heath of Florida and Steffane Prokop of South Carolina.  Mangum Funeral Home
KAY HIGLEY---Kay Highely, 81, of Center, died October 6, 2002 at her residence.  Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Timpson.  Born July 16, 1921, in Timpson, she was the daughter of James T. and Clara Rhodes Stilley.  Survivors include son, Wayne Windham of Houston; daughter, Linda Corbell of Center; sisters, Hilda Watson of Brownsboro and JoAnn Thompson of Timpson.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
OLIVIA L. QUICK---Olivia L. Quick, 85, of Center died October 8, 2002 in Shelby Regional Medical.  Burial was in Jackson Cemetery.  Born November 28, 1916, she was the daughter of Lee and Sally M. William Lowe.  She was married to Barto Baggett and he preceded her in death.  Mrs. Quick is survived by son David Allen Baggett of Houston.  Mangum Funeral Home.
MINNIE ANDERSON WILBURN---Minnie Anderson Wilburn, 93, of Center died October 8, 2002 in Shelby Medical.  Burial was in West Hamilton Cemetery.  Born May 1, 1909, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Perry and Alice English Anderson.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo Corbell and Bentley Wilburn.  Mrs. Wilburn is survived by her sister Clara Griffin of Center; and brother P. E. Anderson of Shreveport, Louisiana.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
CAMERON L. DAILEY---Cameron L. Dailey, 84, of Center died October 8, 2002.  Born May 14, 1918, he was the son of Norman and Nettie Dailey. Burial was in Woods Cemetery.  Mr. Dailey is survived by his wife Audrey Dailey of Center; son, Ralph Dailey of Illinois; sisters, Anna Threlkeld of Missouri and Artie Dozier of Kansas; brother Eugene Dailey of Kansas.  Watson & Sons Funeral Home.
ARTHUR ELLSWORTH HUGONIN---Arthur Hugonin, 81, of Timpson, died October 8, 2002 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Rehobeth Cemetery, Carthage.  Born July 21, 1921, in Houston, he was the son of Lewis and Bessie Hugonin.  Mr. Hugonin is survived by his wife, Margie Hugonin; son Larry Hugonin of Houston; daughter, Lauree Hugonin of Juneau, Alaska; sisters, Anna Bel Maley of Louisville and Elizabeth Creigton of Madisonville.  Taylor Funeral Home
GEORGE BAGWELL, JR.---George Bagwell, Jr., 79, died October 6, 2002. Burial was in Ramah Cemetery.   Born June 15, 1923, in Tenaha, he was the son of George and Elixa Bagwell, Sr.   Mr. Bagwell was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Jack Bagwell; sister Lislie Allen.  He is survived by his wife, Roselyn Bagwell, of Carthage; sons, Bill Harrigan and Tim Harrigan of Carthage; daughters, Brenda Milstead and Rose Helen Reid, both of Carthage.
