New Stuff/Additions/Corrections
The King-Oats Cemetery, aka Oates at Day School, will have a Historic Texas Cemetery Medallion erected on October 13, 2007.  There will be a meeting at 9:30am at the historic Shelby County Courthouse Courtroom.  At 1:30pm attendees will meet at the King-Oats cemetery for the installation of the Medallion.  For additional information email Reece Stanley at  rstanley@ndemand.com

         The Patroon Cemetery Homecoming will be Sunday October 21, 2007, at the Cemetery, Located at Patroon on FM. 2261. We will start gathering about 11:00 A.M. Obituaries
MARTHA ZELEON STOTTS GOODWYN
    Martha Zeleon Stotts Goodwyn, 82, of Hurstown died October 9, 2007 in San Augustine.  Burial was in Rather Cemetery.  Born September 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Luther and Pearl Mitchell Stotts.  Ms. Goodwyn was retired from Center Plywood. She was preceded in death by Parents, Luther and Pearl Stotts; Husband, Ray E. "Tom" Goodwyn; Daughter, Angela Goodwyn Chamberlain; Brothers, Lamar Stotts and Johnny Stotts; Sisters, Helen Elliott and Marjorie Etheridge.  Survivors include Daughters, Martha Wolf of Nederland, Ann Horne of Neuville, Sue Babin of Beaumont and Pat Jernigan of Bridge City; Sisters, Reba Davis of Jewitt, Texas, Joy Stotts of Augusta, Kansas, Peggy Brant of Augusta, Kansas and Sammie Doggett of Greenville, Louisiana.  Mangum Funeral Home.
ROY CRAIN
    Roy Crain, 61, of Center died October 10, 2007 in Tyler.  Cremation was requested.  Born August 25, 1946, he was the son of Garlon Roy and Clara Mae Aydelott Crain. Mr. Crain was a retired Registered Nurse and Paramedic.  He was preceded in death by parents, Garlon and Clara Mae and Brother, Ronnie Crain.  Survivors include, Wife Jayne Hutcherson of Center; Sons, Tim Crain of Red Springs, Texas and Brant Bridges of Tenaha; Daughters, Marty Haley of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Teresa Wallis of Sulphur Springs and Mindy Henson of Center.  Mangum Funeral Home.
SELMA SWINDALL MCCLELLAND
    Selma Swindall McClelland, 97, died October 4, 2007.  Burial was in McWilliams Cemetery.  Born October 13, 1909 she was the daughter of Mahalia Swindall.  She was preceded in death by husband, W. R. McClelland.  Ms. McClelland was an employed with Center ISD.  Survivors include Sister, Elma Swindall and cousins.
